I have never been much of a pvp'er but I was hoping perhaps I might
find a person or even a group of people who are experienced in the zen
of Matrix PVP who might want to share their knowledge for someone new
to the game or to the realm of pvp in the form of a dummie's guide to
pvp. The guide might cover what to expect, how to prepare (good
collector gear, recommended templates etc), and where to go for those
who are seeking a street fight or fight club out.

If anyone has questions or is interested, please feel free to PM me or post here!

- Expect to die quickly if your not Hacker.

- Load Hacker.

- Just hang at Mara C for 15mins to see a red name pop up.

ugh! this kind of thinking boggles my
mind. i think it's unbelievably pathetic to wait until L45+ to pvp. i
don't want to sound flamey and i definitely am not singling u out
r3471ty, plz don't take this personally, it's something i've noticed
with increasing disappointment on vector... every whenever i decide to
participate in a lil full on pvp action at mara and at most i find 4
other mid/lower levels pvping.

is it really an indicator of demographics? are all players either below
L16 or above L45? i doubt. but all those people in between L16 an L45,
do they honestly spend their entire time online grinding to L50 so they can "pwn" and
until then avoiding pvp? on a f**kin hostile server? SAD.

wot exactly are ppl afraid of? it isn't like u **lose** anything when u
die, other than codebits if u forget to upload them beforehand. i'm
reminded of those ppl who always play their video games wiv cheats
enabled cos they can't bear the thought of losing. LOL. so wot if u
die. so wot if u give a L50 a cq point. the time they spend killin u
maybe someone from yr org can get the upperhand over them.

im L30 now and have been pvping ever since i hit 16. and yah, in mara
pvps i tend to get pwnt a helluva lot more than i pwn. (and yah, in
terms of group pvp strategy i'm mostly a bub breaker lol.) (but that's
in large part due to the fact that i usually can't ever find anyone
remotely close to my lvl to attack!) so i guess this is me calling out
all the other midlevels to take a break from mindless lvl grind and pvp a little.

also mad shoutouts to the few mid/lower lvl ppl whose names i can't remember who actually did pvp last night. thumbs up.

My advice would be to hold off on writing a guide until all the PvP bugs/exploits have been fixed (who knows when that will be?). According to the devs, the combat system should be getting an overhaul before 2006. I'd wait and see what happens before committing to this project.

What the hell do you mean don't PvP if you're below 45? I've played
since late March and I've been PvPing since lvl 8. I'm 39 right
now and more often then not you'll find me PvPing.
