I've been crashing (well, freezing) a lot lately due to my sound drivers - Creative doesn't like MXO for one reason or another and crashes to blue screen.
I figured I'd fix this problem by running Windows Update, as it told me there were updated drivers for my sound card available. I installed the new drivers, along with an update to M$ft NET Framework 2.0, some Windows Hotfixes, and Windows Media Player 10.
What seems like immediately after, however, MXO has gotten worse. Instead of random bluescreens and dumps from the sound driver, MXO is now crashing - every few minutes. I literally cannot go fifteen minutes without the client crashing for no apparent reason. I can be walking, jumping, fighting - it doesn't matter, any kind of motion places me at risk to suddenly have my MXO window disappear and the Crash Reporter come up.
I'm not sure if the "upgrades" are causing my problems, so I'll inquire if anyone else is experiencing similar difficulty. And if the updates are causing my problem, I have no idea how to remove a Windows Update without reformatting
