A) Your video card overheated and you need a new one
Or
B)You alt+tabbed in the loading area
only just started after i updated my drivers to the new catalyst ones.
That and im sure its not over heating, anyways i put a ticket in at the
ATI support, just waiting to see what they say. Also having no problems
in any other games....
I will let you know if ATI come up with anything...

Before you complain to ATI, I would like to point out another interesting thing. When I go to do a full scan, there are 3 files that are corrupted and get patched every single time I have the error, only to get corrupted again. A friend of mine ingame also experienced choppiness and noticed that it patched the same things with each full scan. Something about the object.pkb's and other things is wonky, and I believe MxO is at fault here.
Dont trade in your graphics cards!
Have you monitored the temps on your processer and video card. HIgh temps could be the problem. makes sure you have your fans set up right in your case.

typical. My set up is pretty much the same as yours Ximanyd3 Im having
no problems with any other game, which all happened about the same time
as downloading the latest drivers and possibly the last patch but i
cant be sure. Ive been playing since beta with no problem and can play
Battlefeild 2 without a problem. Which leaves me at SOE having the
problem with the game i guess i dono. Anyways help would be good...
Want to get things back to normal before the test server

For the file issue, Make sure those files are write-able by going into the game folder and looking for the files and right click and see if they are write-able.
It is prolly the video card over heated because i had a ATI 9800 XT and it overheated and i got problems likes this before, so i switched to nvidia and never had problems since.
I had graphical problems like this a couple of months back, i was running a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb, good card, but got HOT, screenies can be found here -:

Its not my computer's fault that they have a bug in the system, considering that I played this game for a YEAR without running into any of these problems, only to play other games flawlessly and return to the game to find that it decides not to work sometimes. And I mean sometimes. After a full scan I'm usually good for a number of hours.

There could be a few reasons for the overheating that are directly related to your video card fan;
1. Check your power management, especially if you have a utility that monitors your fans. Ensure that it is not using a setting that reduces the fan rotations or turns off the fan during periods of lowered use.
2. Consider purchasing a new fan for your video card. There are many relatively cheap and very effective fans that can be installed easily and are superior to the fan that came with the video card. Even if you install that fan and you are still experiencing issues, at the least you will have a back-up fan in the event that your original one fails. Spending $39 to $50 on a new fan is much cheaper than purchasing a new video card and could result in vastly improved performance.
3. Consider installing alternative drivers to those released by the card manufacturer / chip manufacturer. The Omega drivers are often superior to the normal Catalyst drivers released for ATI cards and the XtremeG drivers are often superior to the Forceware drivers from Nvidia.
You may also want to check your power management settings in the Windows XP Control Panel. Make sure that they aren't set to turn off your HDD or reduce your processor power during times of low or no activity. I set mine so that they never turn off.
Give those things a try and see if they improve your situation. You can be sure that if replacing the fan fixes your texture issue in MXO, your overall performance across the board in every game will improve, even if you never previously had any issues.

I realise I'm probably chiming-in a little late here but the problem is a combination bug between the ATI 9xxx chipset and the drivers. Under certain conditions the Shader pipes were incorrectly translating & rounding x,y,z values for polygon verticies. The closest thing I can compare it to for the gaming layman is the old "hall of mirrors" effect in Doom 1 & 2. (to those who actually write games I know this isn't correct, I'm being very general here, it's more like the old Intel fdiv issue for some pentiums).
I used to be able to recreate the effect on demand until I switched to nVidia.
