im not behind a firewall and i have already done a Virus scan and a adaware scan i am

running Windows Xp 64 not sure if that is my problem but the patcher just seems to hang with no errer msg just hangs im on a 5 MBit Connection and its been running for 2 days and yes this commputer is The DMZ host

are you running any proxying programs like peerguardian? I run it to on
my XP 64 and it blocked the game servers (it's a Sony ip) until i
allowed it
