hello,
I noticed a while back and am now just getting around to asking about this. I can't see rain anymore ingame. I can hear it and see the raindrops hit the ground but no more rain from the sky.

I have a good setup and have everything on its highest setting except the car/ped. level turned down cause it gets annoying and causes more lag than needed.

I have messed with the graphic settings of my card and game many times and have even tried older drivers for my card to see if its the driver but no...

I have been through many settings with my computer and nothing seems to show a cause.

I wish I could give more information but I really have no clue when it started (other than it was at least 4 months ago) or why.



BTW, I posted everything you asked with dxdiag and msinfo32 but it exceeded the max characters and so i had to take it out.

Well, I do have to ask what other video card driver versions have you tried?


Also try downloading driver cleaner from www.guru3d.com and then removing your video card driver, then reinstalling the latest one, just to see of course.

I have "nasty file remover" program to clean the drivers after uninstalling which is made specifically for removing Nvidia driver remnants. I even go into safe mode every time I run in for extra precautions to make sure that the old drivers don't mess with the new ones.

I've used about 15 different drivers since it stopped probably more and none of them give me my rain back.
I've used WHQL ones, beta ones, and tweaked ones frome www.tweaksrus.com called XtremeG drivers which are the best drivers I've ever played this game with.

The current one I'm using is 87.03 HD ver.2 which is tweaked for games like BR2 and EQ2 to help load larger textures faster. Basically with its performance increase its the best drivers for online gaming. I saw a 20fps avg. increase in framerates and it stays more constant than ever before...you should look into this driver...

The rain stopped a very long time ago.
