It would not let me sign up as "Tbone", even though right before the forum wipe I was "Tbone". Either the forum handle is bugged due to the wipe or someone stole the name. Can my forum handle please be changed to "Tbone"? Thanks. :smileymad:

It would appear that the forum wipe needed to cover forum accounts too. My normal handle of "Peer" is still conflicting with my first forum account that I can no longer use at all.

A lack of deleting a forum account was a feature I noted was missing the first time around with the new forum.

Hope this is something easy for the team to correct.

I am having a problem similar to the others, as my forum handle does
not reflect my station account name, nor the names of any of my
characters. I also do not recall the opportunity to request a
forum handle during registration.

Innovative way to get your "Peer" forum name in with the 2.0, I like. I'll probably talk with Walrus and Brenlo to see what can be done to help you folks out.

I am am having the same problem.

but I think I know why I could not use my name,

I got home from work and realized I was logged in on my home pc.

I registered this morning and made a few posts. When I got to work,

the forums had to be reset, so I re-registered from work.

I have since logged out as Noj, so hopefully it is gone.

Any way we can change my forum name?

* Also, on a second note. I am also unable to verify my email address. The only email I was sent, was the one from this morning, reflecting the Forum Handle I had, Noj.

When I click on the link now, it says it is a bad link, because my station name is tied to another forum handle.

im not sure why i didnt have the same problem as everyone else.

i registered last night along with everyone else and yet i was able to claim the same name when i re-registered today.

Yea, I actually never had to re-register, I was just asked to log in with my station account name, and then I was in.

I think they did things with the verification a bit differently last night as opposed to early this morning with new builds being pushed frequently that can happen.

I have the same problem. I first registered on the forum with the name 'Procurator', but when converting my account (after the forum was wiped, I might add) had to pick '[TGS] Procurator'.

I've sent a support ticket in already, but I wonder if posting it here will give it more weight. SMILEY

I guess I'll add my name to the list as well. I had registered to the forums with my in-game name of Snyden. But when I went to convert my account, it asked for my forum handle during the process and Snyden kept returning an error, most likely becuase I had previously taken it. Now I'm stuck with my account name as a handle :robotsad:. If it is possible to change it back, that would be great.

Well I am glad I am not the only one having the same problem with their
nick as everyone else. I registered last night early on under
Machete and now I had to login as machete with lowercase. I would
love my original nick back.

My forum handle should read "Partizan" instead of "PartizanAI" and this is partly my fault. Shortly after the new boards were opened you could register, without it being associated with your station account. I had no idea this would be a problem later on, so I registered as Partizan. All was well, until I converted my account, which was when I realized my forum handle was "taken" by myself. I am guessing I wasnt supposed to be able to register as just a normal user on these forums...

If there is any way you could delete the error registration of the handle "Partizan" and please change my SOE associated handle "PartizanAI" to read as "Partizan" I would be very content.

If not, I will learn to live with it, but I would prefer that it's fixed.

Then again, I'd like to have it fixed and it doesnt make sense to clog the forum with a brand new thread just for me, can you provide an email that I can request this change at?
