Oh my.....you didn't like Batman Begins? That is by far the greatest superhero movie to date. And Superman Returns looks sweet!

Batman Begins had to be the best of the entire Batman movie series. It capitolised greatly on the actual man and character of Batman. The original movies, Batman was just some flashy, beat someone up, or even kill (something that Batman was against doing) character. The actual character of Batman, and those that work with him, was outlined exceptionally well.

I am actually interested int eh next Batman now, that was outlined by Batman Begins. I was heavily disappointed that everyone of the Batman's major villains had been killed in each of the movies, starting with the original, up through each of the abortions (that made Gotham look more and more like some freak show instead of an actual, believable city). And Begins was the breath of fresh air, and hopefully, ppl will be able to forget about the originals. I just hope they get the right ppl for Harvey Dent and the Joker for the next movie. The character playing Bruce is already doing a superb job.

And those that say R'as is dead, need I remind you, he has a tendency to look like he dies, yet always manages to find a way to come back from the dead.

Exactly, Batman Begins is, without any doubt, the best superhero adaptation to date/for me, the best movie about "superheroes" is Unbreakable...). Taking as reference the awesome Batman: Year One, this movie is  a perfect portrait of a realistic and serious Batman. I'm looking forward to see a good Lazarus Pit resurrection for the old R'as in the next movie.

And about Superman Returns....well, let's just say you can't have a good movie if you don't have a good character so...no, I don't like it. Another "genetically wrong" guy here.

I watched the commercial for Superman Returns, and I dunno. Something just doesn't strike my fancy about it. The whole concept seems way off base for those who actually followed Superman (I am not one of them, he was never one of my favorites) I would think that this is just something to fill in the void for all the super hero flicks coming out. I haven't seen X3 yet, and of course, I understand the infuriation of the whole premise from what I have read, but then agian, I also look at the Exec list,a nd Stan Lee was in the chair there, so obviously it was okayed by him at the very least.

Spiderman, I dunno. As someone who was interested in Spiderman, I have to say, those movies were very poor adaptations of the actual character. But that's my personal perspective. Peter Parker and Spiderman, one of his trademarks was always wise cracking, and he just seems overly serious int he movies. Way past what would be considered normal. Though he is portrayed as real life

And Ia gree, Unbreakable was positively the best portrayal of the super hero villain scenario. In this case, the hero didn't even know he was one, and he didn't even know who his villain truly was until the end.

How can you folks not like Superman? He's an icon. And I don't see how he's "genetically wrong" as a superhero either? Being one of the first comics to appear, his story is quite fascinating. A sole survivor of an alien race sent away from a destroyed planet to save humankind? My kind of stuff! Sci-fi at its finest. SMILEY

I think they are referring to the actor in general, not the character. As far as Superman goes, the sci-fi stuff borders more on magic and fantasy to me where the "color of our suns light" makes him stronger (going by some of the older mythos of Superman, dunno how much of that changed now).

I dont like the actor they choose either for the role, he looks to femine to me.

The film itself could turn out ok, but the premise so far is alittle corny. But we'll see I suppose.

Thanks for the Memories MXO!

Superhero movies

1- Spiderman 2
2- Batman Begins
3- Xmen 2

although after watching the trailer and my current obsession with Smallville this movie could rock my sox.

(makes me think how much smallville may have influenced it seeing as how smallville has a different perspective albeit only slight compared to the previous shows ect... about the superman legend)
