1) Both on the new albums and the recent concerts, Serj Tankian's voice timbre sounds quite different in the higher pitches. Earlier, it was a kinda skinny and slight tenor (in a positive sense, of course), and now it sounds rather richer and smoother, and in my opinion, more "unnatural". Is it because of the sound, or has Serj just lived up to his status as a vocal acrobat once again and simply switched his voice mode in accomodation to the new style and Daron's increased singing parts?
2) What's the name of that accustic plucking instrument in "Deer Dance" or "Nüguns"?
Also, in the verses of "Toxicity", "Chop Suey" or the refrain of "Psycho"?
3) In "Mezmerize"/"Hypnotize", there are lots of instrumental passages with an instrument that somehow sound like a merge of electric guitar and an Armenian accustic instrument (mentioned above). Is it really just Daron's guitar, or what is it?
Examples: The instrumental solos in "Lonely Day" and "Soldier Side", and also the middle parts of "Dreaming", "Hypnotize" and partially "Radio/Video".
4) What kind of folk music is "used" in the middle part of "Cigaro"? You know, the instrumental passages between "Can't you see that I love my c***?"
5) I've already asked it, and it was partially answered. Still, when exactly does Shavo Odadjian sing in the albums? If he does it at all...
6) Arto Tuncboyaciyan is the man behind the "Arto" outro on "Toxicity" and did "SerArt" together with Serj Tankian. I read somewhere that he "also worked together with SOAD before". Is there any way he's involved in their albums, like playing certain instruments or co-composing passages?
I hope someone knows the answers or at least interview links about these topics SMILEY
