Star Trek Online (an mmorpg)

well obviously were still quite a bit away from release, and there is no telling how much better the characters will look between now and then. He said him self within 3 years. I reallize it will most likely be much sooner then that, but still there is a lot of time.

As far as the way it looks right now tho, I dont have a problem with it at all. It definitly seems to have that brighter feel of TOS and early seasons of TNG, but with all the backstory and drama of DS9 and VOY. I think from what I've seen so far I'm very pleased. Only thing I'm worried about really is the social interaction aspect. Still wondering how that will work.

I know I maybe stepping out of line, but I was thinking again; that we should make a poll for the MXO players and have atleast 4 names for our group on STO.... ^^ So that way, everyone can get a chance to vote for their MXSTO group name^^lol  Blue/Redpills, Merv, EPN, CYPH, Zion and Machine operatives can vote.^^ Have the poll up for a month and see what they say^^.

So far we got two

MXO Fleet

& 

MXO Federation

we just need two more^^ and we are good to go^^ Or What is your opinion on this idea?

 Thats a good idea Cystil^^ We should wait till the Beta version comes out then *if there is one*and see what we can do^^ Also once we do get it, we can start working on a forum as soon as we get a name. I got a couple of Ideas for Ranking System... We all know we start off as a Captain, but we can make rank in our forum... Captains, Sub Commanders, Commanders, Controllers, Admirals, Generals and so on.... like the classic stars and strips or starfleet pins and symbols.

Please post your ideas, comments, opinions, art work and much more for the MXSTO^^ Again, I'm sorry for stepping out of line, but tryng to think outside the box.

Three new screenshots posted earlier this week.

Hmm.. characters still look a little plasticy especially in the faces apart from the human one which looks a little less so. Still things are looking ok.

Just when I think I am over Trek, someone has to go and mention Romulans. 

Even if they aren't a playable race, I'll probably have to try the game anyway. Darnit.

Who else is registered on the forums? I noticed a lot of people mentioned MxO in the MMO thread. My forum name there is Llywela.

I dunno, I'm not too keen on the new species idea.  But, oh well, I'll probably make something new when it comes out.

Let's just hope they put as much into the actual story content and gameplay as they did their character customization tool.
