It's been noted that if a user types up a message, hits "Submit Post" and the message contains certain errors, the input box is blanked out, clicking Back does no good and the message is seemingly gone forever unless the poster used Copy on the text before clicking Submit.

Here is the best way around it: click Preview Post after every edit.  This will remove any errors from the message AND still retains the debugged message text in the input box.  If you  don't ever hit "Submit Post" until you get a "Preview Post" that does not report any errors in your entry, then you will never lose a post again.

Really?  Sweet  SMILEY

I'll have to keep that in mind... I know I'm probably not the only one who has aborted posting in a topic because they wrote something only to have it eaten by the lost post monster.

/tiphat

I'm planning a few more posts to round out my help for the forums, screenshot renaming, in game tips and tricks, macro coding and more.  When they are all posted in their appropriate message boards, I'll post a main index to them on the Guides and FAQs message board.  In the meantime, you can pull up the dashboard, and do a Message Search for PS10N and you'll see what's already up.  More to come soon!

*cough*

Um...well, not to rain on your parade, or anything...but this is already stickied in the General Forums.

Not in this specific thread title though, so people will definetly read this one! Good work?

Just trying to be helpful by unloading things I've picked up in the last 15 months.  Maybe I didn't choose the correct place to post the information; it's not always clear where to post or what's already there.  I don't get much time to read many of the forums, unfortunately.

Thanks for the info!

As a side note you will often get this error when quoting a post, especially if you edited the quote. Just my observation....
