i had that problem just install the latest direct x and it should be fine

I had the same problem after first installing MxO. I had the most recent version of directX. I ended up reinstalling the drivers for my video card (Radeon 8500), and it worked.

I had it happen again yesterday, but all I had to do this time was restart my computer. It would help if my card was not just barely sneaking in under the minimum requirements but it works for now. :smileyhappy:

I do not know if that helps in any way, but sometimes it helps me to hear about other folks' issues when I am trying to fix things. Good luck!
