A lot of people say that you just simple shut it down and restart it.
I use to have the same problem. Only my problem was that I had adware and spyware bus on my copmuter that were making it not download the patch try to restart if that doesn't work ide recommend doing a virus, spyware, and adware check see if you are gettting any of them I had the Marketsquare program (spyware) that kept it from finishing.
