VD, VR — What's best and why?

What is the best, VD or VR? I can't seem to max both, so what should I concentrate on?

IMO vdef if more important, because if you don't get hit, then you don't need to resist any damage done.

Chances are if your a lower level hacker your probally going to get hit
by some hacks because your VD will max out easier since it has a lower
max. So until you get in the higher levels where you have a good chance
of deflecting pretty much everything I would go with the VR to ensure
that you dont' get wiped out with one blow. You should probally try to
grab things that give points to reason since this will help both VD and
VR.

But remember, Logic blast and Logic Barrage are armour piercing - VR has no effect on them.
