if your IS regen is good enough, you should be able to stun 2.0 and/or 1.0 then knock em down with logic blasts and barage's

I usually have ballista and howitzer loaded. This lets me power up my
howitzer attacks with the "upgrade attacks" ability. I then draw them
into a crowd and hit them with stun 2.0 and then with the area attacks
from howitzer. If they are no longer stunned they will just run towards
you and you should be fine as long as you have a shield, until their
control immunity is gone and you can hit them with an area stun. Then
you can just rinse and repeat until they are all gone.

Thanks for the info.  I've been going down the Ballista tree, but was leaning to leveling up something that affects more than just one enemy at a time.  I appreciate the advice and look forward to trying some of this stuff out.  Thanks again.

Get Destroyer and Artillerist. All of the attacks are area effect.
Devastation Field does 1,000 damage in an area effect. Use that with
Range booster (Virus Area Radius+5 metres) Very good.  You can
also use Despoiler, which has -50 combat tactics.

Sweet tip!  Thanks!

Use Bottleneck to stop them, then use FumbleField to disarm, so that they are just a bunch of dummies. Then attack with DevField and other similar field attacks of Destroyer/Howitzer until they are all down. This method has an advantage over Ballista's Stun 2.0, as the Bottleneck effect lasts much longer, which means it is guaranteed that they don't get you in the IL. Don't forget to wear dodge range clothes.
