I know some changes have been made to being able to disarm someone but is it supposed to take so long to activate this ability? It is unrealistically slow it would not take that long to disarm someone with a gun and it is unlikely to even finish activating if your hit.

True but in reality disarming shot completly knackers anybody using the gunman tree only for a while, to be honest some people just don't think that it's worth it

Call me someone who will disagree then. In interlock, disarming shot is very powerful, if used and timed right. Not only does it do some nice damage, but also lower's their chance to hit, I think it is, which is very hurtful to them. Sometimes I open up with a disarming shot before I go interlock, because it's a nice opener. It's one thing I have noticed when watching fights lately, ppl don't actually think up their strategies anymore. Of course, when it comes to PvP, the fights I see, it's more about the zerg than the skill anyways.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but every time I activate Disarming Shot, it gives me a message in the System window that says "You do not have this ability loaded." (except I do.) Then it uses it anyway.
Am I the only one getting this, or could this possibly be a reason why it takes so long to use it?

I think it's a bug. You get disarming shot before you get the handguns ability, I believe, and it specifically states in the ability you need handguns ability, however, you get disarming shot first, so it's checking for handguns and sees you don't have it loaded.
