I love the second, less seen, off the wall Karate kick... but it seems pretty hard to get it to trigger.  I want to get a good movie clip of that one, but I never know when it's going to happen so I always miss it.

That said, I think there should be more off the wall moves and attacks (like at least 1 for every operative discipline) and that they should be a little easier to pull off.  Maybe make them hotbarrable special attacks that only become "lit" when you are close to a wall, just like how the state required specials only "light" when your target is in the required state.  That way they would not only have more of a focus, but they would also be a little more predictable.

Really cool idea. Think I'd hold off on implementing it until they manage to work out where the walls ARE correctly. I've frequently had an Interlock battle THROUGH A WALL because something went wrong with some system somewhere.

Saw a guy doing just that yesterday. Jacked into creston SW just in
time to see a karate GM kick off a wall into a neighbourhood watcher SMILEY

That's why I say there should be at least one wall move per combat discipline.  Give the duel gunners a wall run while shooting and dodging or something.  Maybe give the shotgun/rifle users an off the wall version of body shot.  Etc.  Wall moves should not be limited to Karate (even though Karate is what I use  SMILEY  ).

Yeah i agree with Shinryu wall attacks should not be limited to the karate discipline alone it should be every discipline have some sort of variation like for kung fu it could be, jump up on the wall then then in the air hit your opponent with a butterfly kick or backflip off the wall behind your opponent then kick them into the wall......sorry got a bit carried away lol :smileytongue:

You need Karate for Wall Attacks.

And you have to have your back to a wall.

If you want to see some examples, watch this movie I made a while ago.

And to think I was going to remove it to make room ... hehe.

Try using the game camera for all your fights with npcs. youll find it
happens when you do a power attack when a wall is behind you.

I get that one fairly often (the dive kick), but it's the other one I want.  SMILEY  It's also done by doing a power attack when near a wall, but the angle required must be different.

not exactly wall running but ive done it before with karate when you sweep their feet out from under them and punch them 20 feet away as a finisher you should be able to hit them into a wall and make a dent or crack. but as for actually wall running sounds awsome only it seems like all the cool eye candy moves are given to karate. maybe be able to run up a wall and back flip off behind your opponent and kick him into it. that would be cool wouldnt it? maybe as a special move?

I think I've got it taped now:

If you are standing with your back to a wall (within a certain distance, really quite close) and are using Karate in Interlock, sometimes you get that dive-kick-thingy.

If you are in a corner, standing with your back to one wall (within a certain distance, really quite close) and have the other wall (also really close) at your side, using Karate in Interlock, sometimes you get the two-wall-kick-thing (ala Enter The Matrix).

Anybody want to try/confirm this?

Does it happen without Karate (I've never seen it though)?

Does it happen without using Power attack (I've never seen it though)?

#11800000509 01/10/2006 10:28:22 Re: Wheres the wall running?
I've only ever done it while I'm using karate; I've never seen it with kung fu or aikido.
