... or do I just have the worst luck possible? I've killed Gabriel over 10 times now, and out of 7-8 drops it's always been the Kaede key. Even the few drops off of the random 3 chevron Bullets have been Kaede keys.
Anyone else having the same problem?

Depends what level you are, if your the same level as the boss then you
have about 90% of getting the Items if your 20 levels higher, good luck
getting annything more than a little info, and a codebit. bring
someone with you thats the same, or a little lower than the boss is.

They're after a node key mate, not a loot drop. Level shouldn't have any impact on the drop rate.
And I know your pain. Killed Big Dog in Lamar literally 27 times last night, and not once did he drop a Union HIll key

Usually I get drops within 2 kills. I killed the sister of fates person about 2 times but finding her was the problem (Most people kill the boss but dont kill the rest so you have to kill the rest for her to spawn).
All anyone can say is keep at it till you get what you want. Camping usually comes up with results I think.

if you are after the union hill key then ignore big dog as he never drops the access key - i tried for 2 days killing him.
Instead go to the nearest construction site to the lamar HL and kill the level 3 chevron gang members there. You will get the key after a short space of time.

Gabriel drops both the Kaede and Gracy key. A lower lvl faction mate of
mine and I staked Gabriel out for over an hour; he finally dropped the
key.

Poor boy, I couldn't find "Big Dog", so I killed 4 Hounds (3 chevrons) and got my key. Took me all of 6 minutes to get my key and hack the node.

Just so everyone knows only the Big Dog boss is bugged.....what you should know is if you goto a location and the boss is not there, kill all those around you, because you have to kill the side henchmen in order to make the boss spawn again, most time ppl go in, kill the boss and leave, and therefore boss doesnt spawn...

Now, in my experience, the character level doesn't have any effect on how often you have to kill the boss to get an access key. Some bosses I defeated had the same level as me, others were much lower, and nothing ever changed.

I don't think that the level makes a dramatic difference, but you have a better chance of getting it if you are within a reasonable level. At level 15 I got all the keys for richland and Westview in a few hours. In my opinion it's all about patience and a little luck.
