I notice when you look under status and combat there is something called toughness. What does it do? Mine is always 0.
Toughness

I believe that Toughness has to do with your overall absorbtion of attacks. If you have no toughness/resistance then you're likely to take a large brunt of an attack.
I know that Toughness can be boosted with "Glimmer of the Source" at the current moment. But if you are new to the Matrix, then you likely don't have that gift in your inventory. But if you do, throw up in your hotbar and click away.

For Zionists that would be "Zion Hardware Requisition".
But new characters won't be able to get it because it was given out to existing characters a while ago.

I think that putting points into the belief attribute will also increase your combat toughness.

Let's say you have a Toughness statistic of 10% then I'd say that 10%
of the damage points of one attack against you will be absorbed.
Say one attack causes 314 damage points to you and you have 10%
toughness that would mean that 31 damage points would be absorbed.
Does this sound correct to anyone?

Yes.
Another example....If you have 50% melee damage resistance and
10%toughness....you will only take 400 damage from a 1000 melee damage
attack.

Oh, yeah. Forgot about the melee/ranged damage resistance stat. So they stack with the toughness stat, kk.
