What stat do guns require?

Good day, everyone, I've just started playing this game and I have a small question about a character class.

if I want to specialize in SMG's what stat should I enhance the most? Most forums I've seen are pretty vague on this subject, so I would appreciate the help.

Focus- it gives 1RCT every 10 points starting at19.

among other buffes such as 1 VD every 5 points
