Mx0 ·· Negative Result
Hi Rarebit!
Not good, doesn't work. The distance is still the same. Arzu made some tests with different users, there, where I made my photos (page 1 of this thread) and it seems as if all ppl have this 300 units radius. Also I can imagine that noone understood what I really want. I assume when Bayamos says his faraway textures were in 'high' details, is the reason not because he has other settings, the reason is that these 'low' quality textures look in far distance very good. The 'low' quality textures are a copy of the 'high' quality version, they are only compressed and smaller in file size, from faraway they look perfect. I had not a problem with the faraway textures, my problem were this short distances - when I stand at the HL in 'Tabor Park C' look at a house which is 300 units away from me, make two steps back and it changes to 'low' quality texture, that is what I want, this is what I find should switch later, maybee in 2'000 units distance. So I hope now we come slowly to an end, hehe. If this setting is not possible, "fine", I must only know it. The other thing is, Arzu says this distance were bigger in the past, she says she would be 100% sure it was not at 300 units. Dear Devs, can that be that something was modified, to make the texture loading faster or was accidently changed. That can't be right, that these textures switch so quick to 'low', when I am only a lil bit far away from a house, my card could handle a bigger distance.
Rarebit, Bayamos or other "useropts" heros come back and we fix that stupid thing and bring it to an end. The best is, someone who want help, make this test from my photos "page 1", go to "Tabor Park Central" stand at the same position (coordinates are on this photo) and look at the quality of the windows from the house in front of you, then make slowly steps back or forward, till the textures change - if they change?. Help us please, lovely boys.
Thank you so much, if you find time to help.
