My friends... we are IN Animatrix 2. If they want storyline material, they should look no further than some of the player driven storylines here on the forums... seriously.

think they should follow the things that are going on in mx0 right now
and make it anime.

Smith: "Yes but as you can see thins are alot diffrent now"
I wanna see that fight, if Neo was the only one to beat Smith, and Neo and Seraph couldn't land a single punch or kick (except one) on eachother, then I wanna see the Seraph/Smith fight. 'Cause Seraph is a bad mother if he block almost every attack Neo threw at him.

Er, no not at all. By doing so the mythology and mystique of the Matrix franchise would be diluted to incorporate the ego's of 'real' people. Not to mention the intellectual property rights and licensing issues this would imply.
The Animatrix 2 is a strong possibility as are more editions of the Matrix Comics. Would they have cookie-cutter episodes and stories that answered all the questions? I certainly HOPE not. That would devalue all the speculation, philosophical discussion and personal interpretation that has been generated by fans, and that was the driving force behind the Brother's intent for the Franchise.
November 18, 2003 — MatrixFans.net received an unconfirmed report that WB is in the process of making a new Animatrix film, and might release it in theaters. We'll see if we can confirm this.4 years is kinda a long time...either way I doubt anyone is seriously working on this, cool as it may be

And yes, there are some extra backgrounds that could be seen with a second animatrix, just hope that they arent styled like Graphic Novels
