Seven years ago the world we know as the Matrix was a different place.  It was a time when the Matrix existed on 2 different levels.  On one level was a world of humans living out their lives in the virutal bliss unaware of the second level of war and despair.  In that level, humans who had left the simulation worked silently to free humanity from the restrains of the machines who used their energy to sustain themselves.

Five years ago we learned of a third level where an egomanical program ruled in an underworld of sin and decadence in a kingdom of exile programs.

But times have changed.  No longer are the levels seperate.  No longer are the humans hiding inside the Matrix.  The world has changed.  It has grown and evolved.

In the new era of the Matrix, humans work with the machines.  Some humans even work for the king of the exiles.  Choice is in full effect and everything is right with the world.  Red pills loiter casually near the very same hardlines that they once flung to for life or death.  Humans cooperate with the very same agents that once killed them on sight.

Even the coppertops are aware of the red pills.  Though they are under the premise that we're just gangs who indulge in violence and cause trouble, they still know about us.  They see us.  We are real.

Many of you mourn the truce as it keeps conflicts down and keeps things from being interesting.  But I say not to mourn it.  I ask you all to enjoy it.  There will come a day when the truce falls.  There will come a time when standing around the central hardline in Mara will be a memory.  The luxuries you foresake now will haunt you later on.

Right now we've reached a point where all of this life is being jeopardized by a power-hunger troll.  He will seek to destroy everything we have worked for and everything we take for granted.

Those of you who remain to fight the good fight, I applaud.  You are the true warriors who will guide us into the future whatever it may be.  But those of you who long for the times of old and cling to the past, do not be left behind.

In conclusion, I summize to say that the world we knew is gone and the world we have now must be protected.  There may be nothing exciting during peace, but I'll take it over loss anyday.

This is our world now.  This will be our legacy.

Live it like every second counts.
