Alberta, Canada (moving to England next month)
First ever MMO - Mortal Realms. It was a text based mud that you would telnet into. I played that 8 years ago. It's still around but I don't think many people play it.
The next MMO I ended up playing was MxO. I had applied for beta somewhere near the end but I didn't get in so I started a couple days after launch. Then I played DDO from beta up until two months into live but I got bored.  Awesome game but short on content. Going to go check it out again after their next content update.

I mostly play FPS games though. COD2 is the main game I'm playing now.

Gender: Male.

Age: 24.

Location: Austin, Tx (Live music capitol of the world, FTW).

First MMO: Beta testing MxO, Then I played CoH to have something to compare it to.

MMO's tried: CoH/CoV, DDO, Auto Assault("meh"), I have played WoW for my roommates so they could go AFK and own and un-opened box(no WoW for me, thank you very much).

Other Games: All the stuff that came with HL2 Silver edition once in a blue moon but I'm not that good at fps, Old platformers(Nintendo and the like) and there modern counter parts. Used to play table top and LARP role playing games a lot, not at all anymore though.

MxO time: Since August 2004(when pre-ordering and public beta keys became available).

Also might I add that MxO taught me what forums are. :smileyhappy:

First Online Experience: The MUD called "DragonRealms", created by the Simutronics Corporation, the creators of the infamous "Gemstone" MUD.

I think I may have played DragonRealms. I went through a lot of MUDs back in the day before I found Mortal Realms. I have difficulty remembering a couple days ago but the name certainly sounds familiar. Geez, I remember thinking how cool they all were. I also remember when I stepped up from Telnet to Pueblo.. a lesser known but awesome client.

Now I feel old. Boo.

May as well... I'm already on that map thingy...

- Male 19
- Los Angeles, CA
- First MMO - Asheron's Call ('bout 5-6 years ago)
- Played (seriously/competively) - Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Battlefield 1942, Lineage II, Star Wars: Galaxies, World of Warcraft (current) and well... MxO (nominally current).
- Not too much good looking on the MMO front for a bit, but I've played them long enough to be jaded about MMOs until their release (beacuse you can't throw a rock without an MMO's pre-release help being, ZOMGZ this game will be different!!!1one!1!).
- Been playing MxO for a little under a year and a half.
