I know this could be just put into the other RP Workshop thread, but I
feel that this is a VERY IMPORTANT message, as it contains a few rules
that I want to drop down for everyone, as well as what the event will
entail TO A "T".
How to Get Here:

From Lemone Central: Go Straight North into the area with 2 huge buildings. Can't Miss it.
From Kedemoth East: Go straight South. Can't miss it.
Midian Park West: Go straight East. Still can't miss it.
Kedemoth Central: Go west, head towards the area with the 2 buildings alone. It's a bit trickier, but not rocket science.

The Keynote Speech:

I will be giving the keynote speech from where I am standing in this
picture. This means, you may all stand in the area in front of
me. I am facing Lemone Central, as you can see, so please gather
here for the beginning of the workshop.
I will speak the keynote in red text so you can all see it. I
know already that there will probably be people who will aimlessly spam
the area chat, which is why I am doing this. For all the nice
people in the audience, please try to keep area chat to a minimum.
The Keynote will start promptly at 3:00 PM EST, so please be here a little early to get psyched and to meet everyone else.

The Heckler Policy
As with any event, there will be morons. And because there are
people in our community who seem to be highly against roleplaying in
general, this event will probably attract alot of immature
children. And so, I would like to take a moment to state the
policy I want this event to have when it comes to people who love to
spam, or perhaps jack off with the area chat.
IF YOU ARE A POSSIBLE HECKLER: Then I ask you kindly right now,
STAY AWAY. Unless you want around 60+ people sending abuse
reports about your character to SOE and you want your account to be
banned, don't bother to show up if you are not going to contribute to
the event.
Rules for the Masses
Now, we don't have that many rules for the rest of you. But there are a few things that I think need to be addressed.

- DO NOT FLAME BACK. That only gets them more excited. It will be the policy of the staff that people who flame back will be treated the same way as the flamers themselves. Which means you will also be reported for abuse, and you will also be /ignored by the staff if you flame back at any hecklers. Which means if you ask questions, the teachers of the classes won't be able to hear you. If this is not enough incentive to keep your mouths shut, I do not know what is.
- REPORT ABUSE! Find the offending character and right click
on their RSI. Click the report abuse button. Send the abuse
report to SOE and let them deal with it. It is the better move to
make than flaming back. - USE THE /IGNORE! Target the offending character
after sending an abuse report and type /ignore into your chat
box. You won't be able to hear them for the rest of the time, and
you can concentrate on having fun in the event. Silence is golden.

Rules for the Masses
Now, we don't have that many rules for the rest of you. But there are a few things that I think need to be addressed.
- THIS MEETING IS OUT OF CHARACTER. This means dueling
during classes, acting in-character, or generally being an *CENSORED* is not
welcome. If you come to this event, you are here to learn more
about roleplaying and meet the rest of the roleplaying community.
Duel later at the Roleplaying Fair which is after the classes.
But during the classes, I don't want to see dueling or people running
around like you all have ADD. - ORGANIZATION STAYS AT THE DOOR! This means exactly what it
says. You are not in character, so I don't want to hear some
"Merovingians SUCK!" or "ZIONISTS SUCK!" or "MACHINISTS SUCK!"
comments. I also don't want mass PVP breaking out. This is
not the time, nor the place. If you want PvP, go to one of the
"Hunt For Some Guy" events. If you want dueling, go to the many
Fighting Tournaments. This is roleplaying!
The (Approxmiate) Schedule of Events
- 3:00 PM EST - Lady Return's Keynote Speech in the Kalt Corporation main plaza, as shown above.
- 3:15 PM EST - The population will be split up into 4
separate groups for 4 different classes. The groups will stay in
each class for approximately 15 minutes, and then rotate to a new
class. This means the classes will last about an hour. - 4:15 PM EST - All the class rotations will be complete,
and factions are asked to come outside and set up in clusters in the
Kalt Corporation Main Plaza for the Roleplaying Fair. - 4:15 PM EST - ???? - The Roleplaying Fair will commence,
and factions will advertise their skillz and what they stand for, and
you can meet your fellow roleplayers, and just hang out in a general
party atmosphere.
The Classes
Improvisiation and You - Why Improv Is Roleplaying, Only Spelled Longer - Lady Return - A run through of common improv. rules and techniques, and how they can be applied to roleplaying.
Character Creation Techniques (or "Why You Are Not T3h 0n3") - BlackVelvet -
Your character creation didn't end once you left the creation
screen. This class will focus on how to create a dynamic
character without falling into the pitfall that is cliche traits.
General Roleplaying - Jumping from Pencil and Paper to the Matrix - Professor Not Assigned -
The Matrix is large and a little intimidating, but if you can treat it
like a big pencil and paper roleplaying game then you'll find out not
much has changed except the DM is SOE.
Forum Fanfics - The Offline Roleplay - Professor Not Assigned -
Roleplaying on forums, and writing stories is simply just the other
side of roleplaying in the Matrix. This class will cover proper writing
techniques, thoughts, and the problems of writing, such as bad spleing,
gramar. and god-modding (twinking/you are not teh 0ne).
Classes will last approximately 15 minutes and every group will get to participate in all of the classes offered.

Oh, and if you still have any questions, feel free to post them here, in this thread!
