I was sitting in a board room discussing politics with some people when a discussion about the ability of a player based on his level arose. It was around this point that i outwardly said:

~~It isn't the level that makes you leet or even good, its the person, its the beliefs and actions taken by that individual that make him an elite or just another one of the masses.~~

Now before i get flamed about my bias towards the situation since im not a lvl 50 or i get flamed for trying to say im an elite or that my faction is i want to re-adress my main point. People should be judged for their politics, ideals, speeches and actions not their levels or even time spent here.

Granted some exceptions still apply, if you are new to the game there is now way you can be superior to someone who knows the ropes but not in the sense of value, just in the sense of experience and function. I find it strange how so many approach this as "I must ge to lvl 50". Often i have been told that most people won't respect you unless you are a high level, what is the solution? Who needs thier respect, if someone will not judge me for my actions and opinions then i don't care to be judged by them, or at least to hear it.

I am currently a lvl 28, however i have been around since the death of Morpheus, and been interested in this games development since beta (blasted lack of canadian support) i know of people that joined way after me and have come to be lvl 40-45. More power to them, but i for one can see no valid reason is trying to reach the end of the journey, with the exception to the Arcs of Pandora there really isn't a reason.

I mean say i got to 50 tommorow, i would run the pandoras box missions and then what? Spend my time PVP'ing in Mara and waiting for the next event? I don't get it, people wonder why were bored with the game and why we are losing so many. Have you ever stopped and wondered, wow what is there to do here. Although it works that way for both sides, theres nothing a low level can do that a high cannot except better his skills and strengths through leveling, to inevitably reach 50 and be stuck there aswell.

Don't get me wrong there is plenty to do if you know where to look, i myself am enjoying the PRE's and of course the delightful creative joys that come with RP'ing but i still don't comprehend why we rush for 50. I don't really know what im getting at with this post except that perhaps we should be less judgemental of our low levels, i know the bias applies and i wouldn't deny it, but regardless it seems something that should at least be considered.

Now im not accusing anyone so i hope i don't see any "well i don't know about you, but i never judge anyone based on their level..." posts because frankly i A) wouldn't believe it and B) already said i wans't accusing anyone so there is no need to get defensive.

It just boggels the mind sometimes for there to be poeple thinking they are supperior to someone because they can beat them in combat, this is kind of in relation to Amb's post but still in its own light and less agry. I just don't get it. I mean it's not the level of time you spend here, cause i think alot of people who are level 50 are complete morons and frankly don't bring much to the table but thats my opinion nothing more nothing less. It just seems strange that some hold levels with such high regard.

In all honesty i really don't know what im getting at with this, perhaps just looking to create conversation or to spark some thought but either way this is what i have to say.

What do you think?>

Well as much as i can agree that your level is an interpretation of ones strength and i suppose it could be believed to be representative of ones knowledge in the matrix, i find it hippocritical then to stop merely at 50. I mean the agents are lvl 250, now i know veyr few of us are that high but still many people can and should reach above 50, and not just the players, i mean the figureheads aswell, why is (was w/e) morpheus only a lvl 50 no one can deny his understanding and comprehension of the matrix (at lesat no zionite IMO) and the Merrovingian who is rumoured to be able to destroy Agents at will with his merciless powers of the 200 lvl difference? Not to mention the sentries that guard our Archive exits.

Granted we have seen that these people offer different talents than us, Neurophyte especially but why then does the level reamain the same. I mean in this realm even in our realm is there really any limit to how much you can learn and understand and how strong you can become? not in the terms of power or muscle mass but beyond just strength?

I try to move through my levels aswell but even so, haveing a restriction of 50 seems low to me. Perhaps a select few, under the guidance of others can attain more than 50. Why cannot the machine operatives train with the agents, learn their secrets and unlock the potential. Why not go to the Archives and train not by killing anything that moves but by the guidance of those who have surpassed the great ones themselves?

I know with this clashes the world reality with the world of coding and gameplay but either way you look at it, why is there a restriction on us? Or more importantly why is it so low, for everyone.

I mean shouldn't we be able to achieve the ability to grow stronger than the agents? Shouldn't we be ab;e to push the tempo, to break the barriers? Isn't that what the matrix is all about? Look at the sprinter from the Animatrix, i don't recall the title but i mean if that doesn't show you the capability of those willing to deny logic and shape thier own rules i don't know what would. I wouldn't even bother to reference Neo and his glory, i mean would he be a lvl 50? Because quite frankly i would put him at least at lvl 500 and Agent Smith very close by?

If what we perceive to be reality is reality, then why can we not change our views and break the rules of this existence? One might also question why and how we learn more from the matrix by destorying the life within it? I don't know how but shouldn't there be a way to expand and learn more without destruction, but perhaps creation. I know we can expand our minds through the activation of new HL's but what else can be done? Where are the infinite libraries of the Merrovingian or the machines manuals or the zionist histories?

More food for thought as they say.
