Now I've read on The Other Side Of The Looking Glass that if you are using an exploit, unless recieved 1 or more warnings, a first time offense would not result in Banning. However, there have been several cases in the recent past, and even farther back past, in which this hasn't been followed. Revealing names will result in this thread being locked, and this is not what I want, so please, when discussing, don't use names. I would like to know why friends of mine, or friends of friends have been permanently banned from this game for being caught using an exploit and on poof. They're gone on a one time happening, Directly from The Other Side Of The Looking Glass:

"If You Think You’ve Found an Exploit

If you do something in game that results in an unexpected behavior, especially one that gives a combat advantage, you should report it using the /bug command. You can even repeat the actions a few times if you want to get repro steps you can report it. Just don’t continue using it after you’ve figured out it works.

In fact, even if someone is found using an exploit, a single use isn’t enough for more than a warning from a CSR. Even if it’s a widely known abuse, a player will only be suspended for exploiting. Only if someone repeatedly abuses an exploit after being warned, or is abusive to a CSR warning them, can the road lead to longer suspensions or an account ban."

There's the link, if you'd like to read more about actions that may be taken on your account as a result of exploiting.

If we're being told that AT MOST we're going to be suspended for a one time use, why are these players getting banned? Think back a couple months, when 2 players got banned for using an exploit that wasn't even labeled an exploit yet. Eventually, their accounts were unlocked, yes. But should they have been banned in the first place? I don't believe that these players were ever told that what they were doing was considered and exploit, or that they were even warned for 'exploiting'.

I guess the main question I have is why are we getting banned for exploiting on a one time instance, where we're clearly being told that we can not, and will not be banned for explointing on a one time deal.

Any ideas?
