One of the biggest Timesinks in online gaming. The player's effect on a servers economy. From Tailoring (Clothing), Smithing (Armor), Fletching (Bow & Arrow making), Spell Crafting (duh), Potions (Click buffs), Weapons, Tools and the list can go on.
Player made items are bizarre in nature, IMO. The question of "How much skill does it take to make an item that I could get if i raided/grouped for it"
These questions go around again and again. I have a solution to some of these questions.
With Clothing items, im sure it has been mentioned again and again. Especially within the Matrix Online.
A player is able to take the enchancements off the item, and place them on peice of un-enchanced clothing that the player chooses (whether the superficial look of a player or whatever.) The item then becomes Altered, unable to receive further augmentations.
The info economy, can be altered slightly. Info can be broken down into code bits (1-
which relieves the loot system on code frags. Instead of dropping info and bits. just break the info down into bits.
which relieves the loot system on code frags. Instead of dropping info and bits. just break the info down into bits. When it comes to making items within the Matrix. I believe a new loadout similiar to the blank white loading construct is needed. "Anything we need"
A new construct that is fitted for not just tradeskills but menus to edit enchancements to move off and onto other peices. Click Guns. A spreadsheet. move your cursor over it and it gives the stats. Load? Yes. Boom Inventory.
Although it does not work, uploading weapons. Or anything of that matter. You upload it, its now scanned as decompiled in the construct. No need to break it down to memorize (sorry farmers but I believe the info tool will be better)
Mass Supply items. If youve got the Info for Bits. "Guns, lots of Guns" or essentially coming into play with stacks of pills and TBs.(which i do not like.. ill get back to ya on pills and tbs..)
Essentially, my rationalization is quick summon of trades
Scanned to memory after first interaction with the new item (Compared to Basic Supply items in the Construct)
At the time being it feels like making an ability or whatever, the guy is on dial up, when he should be on some T-3 hardware. The Prompt menu knows he has codes for it. Just make it.
One problem, I see a lot of is; Macros. People that set their character up for Macro Tradeskilling.
A player uses some 3rd party software which tells the character to move here to there put items into this Tool maker and click combine. I believe by removing these gestures/commands from the game, it can dissolve the reasoning to "Skill Up Tradeskills" as well as Macro Programs.
