#10800063514 04/19/2006 15:42 PLEASE READ AND RESPOND

if any devs read this please leave a response so that i know ive been heard.

im really concerned with the upcoming free trials that will be here soon. the game has a very good oppurtunity to gain new players and help the community grow. but my concern is for the future of org balance. right now meros are pretty strong. stronger than usual. but thats mostly just a fad and after effect of cr2. alot of people left because of it and remaining players joined other orgs to try something new. meros have been on the outskirts for a while and so now peeps wanted to try us out. thats fine.

but my concern is for actual day to day life in the matrix. a new guy posted that he was gonna start the other day and what faction should he join. many mero and machine factions left responses and asked him to get intouch with them ingame for help but in the end he chose zion. because a zion was there to help him out.

this is why zion has the numbers compared to other orgs. nothin against zion mind you. its a system fault..not an org fault. but the fact that zion can do this with lowbies is what undermines the balance of the game. when this guy jacked in and saw a blue zion there to help him he thought..cool. but what if i had been there. i would have been red. he would have been able to target me. i couldnt have invited him to a mission team. i would have looked like the enemy right off the bat.

its really hard for meros or machines to recruit with the effectivness of zion for these reasons. believe me. ive tried. the only way we can really help a brand new player is if he will join us from the start so were not hostile to him. but nobody wants to join a faction on their first day. i hate to even ask cuz most of the time when they do they end up changing orgs very soon cuz they realize they dont know what they wanna do yet.

but its no big deal for zion cuz they can help the new peeps without giving them the pressure of joining an org. of course after you show them around, hangout with them, get on a mission team and tag some good hardlines and maybe do some missions for a while and just chat with them about the game, their gonna wanna join. they just made a friend.

we cant do that. it just sucks.
