It would be nice to keep it at 4pm... earlier is a problem for me.

Me too, I have to go get my eyes dilated at 12.

We just had a few 6vs6 duels with Ml and it was fun, can't wait till tomorrow.

Important Q:
For the spies, are they allowed to Sneak/Disguise before the Go signal?
Some practice matches had this happen, others waited til the start to Sneak.

AT 4 PM!? I thought the event was at 3p.m. Pacific Time??
I have some arrangements after that bros...it'd be PERFECT if you could make it earlier. I have school tomorrow from 9am-12pm, and i'd be free after 1240.
So, if you guys can make that arrangement it'd be great!
Let me know...
Thanks

You must be visible before the count begins...as the count begins, you can activate it, as well as the pacther can start buffing as well.
And as far as the time, we are not making it earlier, but  we are gonna start immediately at 4pm est, as originally planned.
So meet up at 3:30, get your LOs ready, get your teams ready, and be ready to start at 4pm sharp.

#10800044562 02/04/2006 07:08:11 Re: Vector Olympics 2006 - Official Thread
would anyone by any chance have the results for each fight in the hacker tournament?
Kosila beat Regulus in the finals but we have lost all the other matches before that, and we want to finish that tree.
If anyone still has it, please let us know.
Thanks.
ps:
here is who was in it:
Zellreborn - DE - Merv
Brommerz77 - DM- Merv
DarkHaze - DM - Merv
Oroezen - CoZ- Zion
Echosnare - CoZ - Zion
Regulus- VV - Mach
ArchBish0p - DE - Merv
Madbent - ML - Zion
Broin - FA - Zion
Kosila - FA - Zion
LilPunisher - Forsaken - Merv
KingHazaa - Forsaken - Merv
and I know that at some point, Zell beat Brommerz 2-1, and Regulus beat DarkHaze...but thats all I can remember...

#10800044607 02/04/2006 10:34:46 Re: Vector Olympics 2006 - Official Thread
Here are the final rules for the team pvp today: (copied my macros over)
This is the final event of the Vector Olympics, and the score so far is: FA=8, ML=7, VV=5, DM, DE, BT=2, CoZ=1 - Today's event will decide what faction will win 60 million info, which will be given in the Closing Ceremony
The Closing Ceremony will be on Monday, at 6PM est, Location TBD  - All factions should be there to collect their prizes and celebrate the closing of the Olympics
Here are the General Rules that apply to all events: No pills, consumables, or outside buffs - Cannot change loadouts once the event starts - No Hyperjumping away - No PB Tiger Gis
Today's event is the Team PvP competition, and here are the rules: Teams of 6 fight each other till one team is left standing - Here are the build restrictions: Up to 4 fighters must show they are in the Soldier tree (Guns, MA)
Up to 2 fighters must show they are in the Spy Tree (MKT, Assassin) And one patcher is allowed, but not required - The patcher can buff self prior to fight, but cannot buff others until the count starts  - NO REZZING!
Sneaks/Disguises/team buffs can not be done prior to the count, but can start during it - If two teams fighting are from same org, than 6 individual duels start at the same time, so disband your teams and duel one another
No sitting while waiting for another duel, last team standing wins - to decide who duels who, players from both teams type /random 6 and matching #s duel eachother - as each duel ends, winner will fight another winner
Breaking any rule will result in a strike and each team has 3 strikes per fight, before they are disqualified from the event - If any faction disrupts the event, participants from that faction can be DQ as well
Please line up next to each other and have one member of your team say "Ready" when I ask, and you will go on the count of 3, after I say "GO" - Ready?
Factions can have more than 1 team in the event, as long as there is no overlapping members
Be there at 3:30PM EST to get things started on time.
Let me know if there are more questions

#10800044641 02/04/2006 14:34:40 Re: Vector Olympics 2006 - Official Thread

I have to go, but I have a quick Q.

If say VH/VV wins the team event, and ties ML for second place, does that mean we take the prize money for 2nd and 3rd place, add it up, and split it? (40+20 /2 = 30mil apiece)?

So the standings would be

1 FA

2 VV / ML

4 (whoever)?

#10800044652 02/04/2006 15:43:54 Re: Vector Olympics 2006 - Official Thread

For the Pure Hacker event, here are the four fights that I fought as far as I remember.

Kosila VS ArchBish0p 2-0
Kosila VS Madbent 2-0
Kosila VS Regulus 1-0
Kosila VS Regulus 2-0

Thanks for the hacker updates, I wil see what I can put together.
And at last, the final event went down tonight, Team PvP - long but good
We had 7 factions sign up:
Viral Humanity (VV)
Furious Angels
Dark Mavericks
Trinity
Morpheus Legacy
Dark Evolution
Systematic Chaos (G7G)
VV beat Trinity in the end 2-0 and walked away with 30mil
So the final scores are:
FA wins with 8 points (all in the first week)
ML and VV tie with 7 points (Madbent kicking himself over that one)
DM, DE, BT with 2 points
CoZ with 1 point
So 60 mil goes to FA, and ML and VV wil share 2nd and 3rd place prizes, splitting it 30mil each.
The grand prizes will be given out on Monday, during the Closing Ceremony of the Olympics, location TBA. 6 pm est.
Thanks for all who made this event a very succesfull one, with very little gankage, and lots of people were made famous for their skills.
Long live the Olympics and Vector!
See you all monday night

Mad props to Manatikluniak and all the others in his faction that put together and pulled off an amazing event which spanned the course of two weeks.  I'm sure many many man hours went into the planning and execution of the event.  I say kudos again to you and yours Manatik, you are an example of another reason why Vector is the place to be.... Keep on rock'n on

Way to hold the Special Olympics on Vector. Im sure Zion had the most handicapped people on the server. Remember in the Special Olympics everyone is a Weiner.
#10800044717 02/04/2006 20:58:38 Re: Vector Olympics 2006 - Official Thread
Thank you manatik for the great event! It was very enjoyable. (even though we kept getting 2nd place SMILEY)

EDIT: Oh and thank you all of DE as well (sorry!)

Well actually Transmissioner - Zion was (at most) 1/3 of the entries. Prolly less. Ya rly. Look at the trees from each category.

And tbh - I am a bit surprised that we did do so well.

Yeah, I was gonna go for the hybrids but could only have fought from home (you know the 56k drill)  cause it was too late at night for me englishman.

Maybe in the next I'll have broadband.

The Closing Ceremony will be at 6:00PM EST tonight, at Club Parallaxis, Uriah
I know its not the most glamorous place, but its practical for whats gonna go down.
I will make an offcial thread for this, but this is the heads up right here.
Please observe these guidelines:
All spectators will be in the ground level
The winning factions , FA, VV, and ML, will be in the second level, in the center, along with members from Dark Evolution.
Other factions that participated may be in the second level, but off to the side.
Please leave the third level empty for when our "guests" arrive.
If and when these "guests" do arrive, please maintain a mature conduct, as you all have throughout the Olympics.
I ask that all factions come dressed in their faction uniforms.
