few things to keep in mind.
1. it's about equal on each level of ganking. I saw 3 level 16 zions ganked last week and got an ear full of whining about how mervs and machines ganke lowbies all the time.
2. It's a hostile server meaning everything is about survival and taking down your enemy. The idea of peace and following a storyline is extremely difficult to any level due to the fact that at any point in time someone will show up at a party for example and kill everyone inside.
3. Almost everyone on this server is a sore loser, because they come to play and win. Some people play to win and others just like to be able to win without effort. When junk hits the fan people get mad and shout about how the other side sucks and everyone on there ganks newbies and other faction mates. (happens all the time left and right)
So whats the whole point of playing mxo? Dunno really, but I like the combat system. This whole fighting stuff I play to win, and that does mean doing some dirty deeds now and then. Does this mean I hate people on the other sides? No it doesn't, in fact I respect a lot of the people I've seen, and some are role models. Do I get mad when I die? no not really because there is absolutely nothing to lose. I guess what I'm trying to say is sure zion has a somewhat bad rep, but so does everyone else. Fact is you play a game to have fun not to really care about who fights who. Everyone talks about Honor and not ganking lowbies, but honestly everyone does it or has done it, and likes to complain when someone does it to them. Bottom line regarding that is, it's a hostile server, your joining here signed you up with an agreement saying "I've signed up here to possibly have my character die in pvp combat consentually or not". A lot of people don't realize this or care to remember it.
Also to add in. If it is and was possible to actually have more civil meetings between people, it would require more order within guilds and I don't see that happeneing anytime soon since several factions cross organizations won't do that. This will always be the case because there are always the most extreme minorities who do this. The scenario on Vector is complete chaos and it attracted those who appreciate its company.

. It's not fair to other people here that actually may have something constructive to contribute to this thread. 
. My whole view here is that no side on server is devoid of the activities in that video. You may not believe it but it's true. Want to take steps to change it? I know how it could be done faster then months possibly failed negotiations between guilds and troubled individuals, but I know that far to few people here will be willing to work on it for it to happen.
