What is choice? What is power? What is freedom?



The cave-dwellers of Zion seek “freedom.” In their underground city, Zionists desire "choice." However, Zionists’ dreams of having both are contradictory. What if Zion achieves its goal, and destroys the Matrix? Will the pod-born be free? No! One of these two outcomes will occur: All of the pod-born will die, leaving Zion guilty of mass murder, or, there will be millions upon millions of confused, helpless humans. They will be left in a desolate and ravaged world with no future. The city of Zion will become overpopulated, and the city’s already limited resources will dwindle, eventually driving the human race to extinction.



The followers of the Merovingian desire power. Similarly, their quest is also an illusion. The Merovingian is a fraud, a fake. He is trapped within a world that is not his, a world that never will be. Any "power" he has exists only in the minds of the Exiles, who blind themselves from truth by following a weak puppet master.



That leaves us - the Machinists. We are those who see the wrongdoing of our ancestors, the humans before us who provoked a war with the Machines. Our ancestors destroyed Earth and scorched the sky. To be a Machinist is to possess true vision. Imagine a world where the sky is no longer clouded with black. Imagine a place where machines and humans co-exist, living in peace and harmony. Symbiosis is what we strive to achieve. It is our purpose.

no matter how I word it, there is still a bunch of fighting between people who once we're friends. It's a bit too much drama for me...... I hate to be that person who is always saying "settle down", but it's just a game.
