Neo was a systemic anomoly, none of us could walk his path.
He procured a future for the rest of us by working with the Machines.
War brings chaos, inefeciency... The Machines know this.
Come join the Guardians and help defend the stability.

Only those who are worthy can enter the gate.
Only those who are brave can survive the perils beyond it.
Only those with the courage to defend it shall be known as Guardians.
Can you stay the path without deviation?
Leave the chaos behind you and join the Guardians of the 7th Gate.

When I was just some new guy in the Matrix, someone found me in a tower overlooking the city.  It was a sight to behold.  The city was spread out like a large circuit grid.  Maybe that's the way the Machines designed it; the way the Architect designed it.  I kept thinking there might be a internal secret in the way it was laid out.
But the man who found me,  He was a large impressive looking individual.  His voice was deep and startling.  I was unsure of his motives or even if he was a redpill.  But he seemed to know who I was.
He told me his name was Archon...

We talked for a good while.  I told him what I knew about the war, everything that was explained to me through other operatives in the real anyway.  I told him how my extraction was purely a mistake and that the Machines have been taking care of me since then.  He seemed to know everything before I said it.
He asked me where my loyalties lay.  Obviously my response was "The Machines."  If it wasn't for them I'd probably be dead by now.
So he invited me to join the Guardians of the 7th Gate, a Machinist faction.  Archon told me that in a few weeks I would be contacted by Agent Gray.  Strangely enough, I was not bothered by this comment.
I was excited to meet an Agent of the system...

His message was simple.  Almost as though he had been talking to hundreds of redpills before me; which is quite possibly true.  There were so many of us in those days.  I could walk down any rundown alley and see a couple of redpills running to their next mission.
It was during this time I got my first call.  Someone in my faction needed help with some missions.  I was new but I offered my services.  "Are you good at picking locks?" the shipmate asked.  "Uh well, I'm not sure."  "Uh, no problem, no problem.  I'll send someone over to you to help you out with that."
In 5 minutes another Guardian popped out of the hardline and started typing on some invisible keypad.  I asked him what he was doing, "Ah man just codin' up some abilities for ya.  I heard you needed to learn how to pick locks?"  "Yeah, I guess.  Just someone in the faction..."  "Nah, don't worry about it.  I got ya covered.  Plus you never know when you might need to pick a lock in one of your own missions."
My own missions?  I never thought about that....

#10600003450 02/14/2006 16:00:08 Re: Guardians of the 7th Gate
After a good solid 3 hours of missioning, I was very tired, bored, and half out of my mind.  Being jacked-in and doing nothing but missions for 3 hours straight can probably kill a person.  At least that's what I thought.  It was about time for me to call it quits.
Then my leader got a call about another mission.  The operator acted like it was important.  "Critical," is the term they used.  I thought all the missions we did were critical, but this one seemed important somehow.
So we accepted it, one of our teamates began to download the mission map.  An ability he just received from our faction coder.  The green code streaming into his RSI was captivating.  It definitely was something I wanted to try later on.
"Let's go," Our team leader called out as he jumped 200 feet into the air to land on the building in front of him.  If it wasn't something I had seen before, I would've stopped dead in my tracks.  Instead I started running to the mission waypoint displayed on our HUD.
Inside I found an agent, but with red eyes.  "Oh hey!  The good guys."  I started towards him as one of my teamates yelled something out.  I couldn't make out what he was saying until it was too late.  The agent grabbed his guns and the bullets started flying my direction.  I took two to the chest, and I was out like a light-bulb.
I layed there on the floor, dead, as any normal person could see...
#10600003462 02/15/2006 16:18:04 Re: Guardians of the 7th Gate
It was a funny feeling being dead.  I never knew how it would feel.  I couldn't move anything.  My mind was drifting off, but something was keeping me lucid.  It probably was the adrenaline back in the Real where my body was.  An automatic drip was intiated at the moment I was hit.
Blue code started to suround my body, lifting me up into the air.  Suddenly I felt as alive as a baby bird just hatched.  I looked down at the bullet holes in my chest, but they weren't there.
"What just happened?"
"I revived you buddy, now let's keep going."
My first time coming back to life, and somehow I knew it wouldn't be my last...
#10600003510 02/17/2006 10:49:32 Re: Guardians of the 7th Gate
I finished that mission and several others after that.  I spent a good 5 weeks trying to reach a nice level of enlightenment with my faction.  It seemed as though all the good stuff happened later on and I was excited to get there.
Those first couple of days were strange, but in a new kinda way.  I'll never forget my first event, mission, death, revival, combat, special move... everything.
I felt so alive in this sleeping world.  A world where I was just a month ago.  I could go into specifics of my life before this, but I won't... unless you really want to know.
As a machinist you will gain friends, lose friends, just like any org.  But life as a Machinist is especially hard.  It's not for the faint of heart.  Only the most brave will choose the path of a Machinist.
You may not know this, but Neo was a Machinist.  His purpose was different than ours, but his ultimate goal was to keep humans and machines at peace with each other.  And that's what we do.
I wasn't around to know Neo, but I still remember Agent Skinner...

In fact, his last transmission was to our faction.  That's right.  Just before he died he sent us an important transmission detailing important Megacity information so that his favorite Machine Operatives would never have a problem.
There have been many-a-time when Agents have talked with G7G in private or invited them to a secret meeting.  And we have answered the call each and every time.
Will you be with us the next time they call?
#10600003572 02/20/2006 21:12:47 Re: Guardians of the 7th Gate
(Clipping found in a local newspaper)
When you walk around in this city, you find bums on almost every street corner, citizens going about their business, creepy people hanging out in alleys, and this strange "redpill" culture that has been catching on with youth everywhere.
I've talked with these guys, they think they know how this world works.  They got the inside scoop on how business, culture, entertainment, industry, and yes... even politics.  So since they know everything, I decided to give one of them an interview.
Usually they aren't too willing to give any interviews, but one of my contacts found one.  He asked to be anonymous and be interviewed in a semi secluded restaurant with plenty of windows.    It's funny, most of them are all constantly looking over their shoulders like someone is out to get them.  Who, I don't know, and maybe they don't know either.  But, I found the perfect spot at Peg's Diner in Southard district.
Here's what one had to say.  He says he's not too sure of himself like the others are, but he can peer just a little bit farther into the future than most.  Improbable you think?  Just read.
So anyway, I'll tell you a little bit about myself and my... crew, I guess you'd call it.  Usually we don't do interviews, it's just something that our culture considers taboo.  But maybe if we could learn to live together we could sort out our differences and see that maybe we aren't so different at all.
Like take for example, that guy emptying that trashcan outside.  My work is just like his.  I take out the trash.  Not in a literal sense, but there are big ticket items that need to be disposed of all the time in this city.
You mean like cars and large appliances?
Uhh... yeah.  Something like that.  I'm not going to go into specifics, but I will let you know that it is legal.  I actually work with the government.
Oh you do?  What kind of work do you do for them?
Well I just told you the main thing I do, but on side jobs I usually do some investigative reporting and some recruitment for other potentials in the field.
So how does a "redpill" such as yourself get a job with the government?  I've heard many in the government were trying to suppress your culture more than use it.
Well, we got these powers you see.  It's hard to explain really because there's no explanation that I can give you that will make you believe I am telling the truth.  Unless...
Unless what?
Unless you can believe that I can see into the future just a little.  Not a whole lot, but a little.  That should help you understand.
Ok.  I'm listening.  What can you show me?
I'll tell you when the time is right. And It's not right, right now.
Ok then.. moving on.  In the past couple of weeks there were reports of a major celebration in your culture about some sort of evil that was removed from the world.  Did it have anything to do with the fly plague?
Actually yes.  How did you know that?
Well the only "evil" that was affecting our city around the same time was the infestation of flies.  But if you are saying yes to that, I'm guess your culture had something to do with the pesticide as well?
Right again.  We have worked with the government many times in the past before as well.  It's just recently that our services have become known to the masses.
Such as the terrorist Morpheus?  I heard he was from your culture though.
He was, but he turned on us by attacking all of you.  He was a great man until he made several mistakes.
May I ask you about your savior?  The one you call Neo?  Has he returned?
I'm afraid that is one area I cannot discuss with you.  Unfortunately, even I cannot divulge information such as that.
And with that, I must go... I will now show you that I can see into the future.  But just a little.
I'm all eyes and ears.
That's when my guest got up, turned around and started towards the door just as two men came busting through the back door of the restaurant.  There was a lot of shooting and my friend ducked out the door just as the bullets whizzed by his head.  He seemed so calm and focused. He even had time to put on his shades and give me a nice friendly wave before he took off running with the two men in hot pursuit chasing him.
I'm not sure how he knew he would have company at that very second.  But he definitely impressed upon me the usefulness of the redpill culture.  No wonder the government has been recruiting them into their ranks.  Can you imagine CIA operatives running around with advanced telekinetic abilities?  Or is that their plan already?
Conspiracies theorists can theorize all they want about how the government created the "redpill" to create super soldiers.  But the fact still remains that it kills more than it helps.  If I had time to ask him one more question it would've been on the success-to-failure ratio of the redpill.  I doubt the government is practicing dangerous experiments on our youth just to spend millions of dollars trying to eliminate the drug.
But, even if they did that, I'm sure the bright individuals of their culture would think of something else to ingest into their systems.  Like a green, purple or blue pill.  Speaking of bluepills... It's 12am... and I got work tomorrow.  I love Slumberil.
(scribbled on the back)
Who was this guy interviewing?

We live in a world of societal chaos.  Never knowing which redpill, faction or organization is on our side.  Anyone of us could be traitors, thieves or con artists.  And there's a reason to this madness, the powers that want us gone are very strong.  They can bend a human's will into believing he or she has done the deeds from the memory that are implanted into their subconscious.  They truly believe they did it and aren't going to back down from their point of view, even if they may have just killed their best friend in cold blood.
Thankfully this kind of power has not had much of an effect on stronger redpills.  The Guardians of the 7th Gate are probably the strongest, mentally, you'll ever meet.  They can hold their own on a 5 vs 1 fight and better yet, analyze complex situations and formalize a plan to solve it.  Many a-time we have won a battle of wits or brawn just by using united strategy.
Join us, leave the chaotic world behind you and defend the stability.
#10600003751 03/04/2006 09:39:49 Re: Guardians of the 7th Gate
The world you know is in need of protection.  The evil forces that are against it must die at our hands.  We desire peace between the Humans and Machines.  Whether this be inside or outisde of the MAtrix is still unclear.  But we know that for now, the Matrix is our home.  So protect the stability.

Respect what? SC is essentially G7G and all that remains of it in MxO, but you weren't around that far back. If anything, the success of Systematic Chaos is tribute to the faction that housed all of us to begin with. The name might have changed, but the faces were the same in the beginning minus a few key players such as Glue (who was actually in SC for a while), Apsu, Aggie, and Cog.
