Hmm watching Matrix Revolutions the other day I noticed a familiar face eyeing up his future target.....could it be the great man himself.....

if it wasn't for the black string wrapped around it, I would say yes. But also, he wasn't much of the party type, unless you call mass killing a party....hehe.

He got crotetchy in his old age and that mask was probably from his Zebra pattern bathroom suite phase you know how popular they were in the 80's.......

Apart from what bonopi said, that''s quite a nice little find you got there :smileyhappy: although surely he wasn't an exile then so maybe he was just taking a break. Hmm....

Haha, crap. That so looks like him without the black stringy stuff.

Granted, the Assassin fled to the Matrix after Trinity died. So there goes that SMILEY

If the Assassin is anyone, it's the barge that takes Neo's body away.

He was still part of the system until a few days after Trinity died. After that, he had to go exile because the machines in charge had plans for her body and he had objected for some reason or another.

Boy, how would you love to be part of that civilization, dont agree with the leadership they kill and replace you with someone else.

Eh. More theories, ZaneZavin.

Here's mine:

The Assassin is the stinky hobo you find near the end of M1, however, his experiences with a very painful train has awakened him. Cold and alone, he wandered the Real Earth in his hobo-y ways, until he met a mutant platypus who taught him the way of the ninja. Soon he found he was able to jack back into the Matrix using a combination of Tag body spray and really old garden utensils provided by the platypus and friends, and his powers became great, because, since he was flatened by the train, he could go through cracks in the walls or the vent in the Cinematics.

He was just covered in flies because the flies knew him and trusted him back in his bluepill days. When he learned of Morpheus's actions, he decided to take it upon himself to use his train-flatened abilities to defeat him, because he knew that it was because he looked at a black person funny in the subway that cost him his life.

When the Assassin was weakened his fly buddies decided to help by forming look-alikes to run around going "wheee" as he healed on the garbage barge, where Niobe caught up with him. In his weakened state, and when the flies were all killed off his body, his paper-thin RSI flew away into the wind.

But that doesn't mean he's dead.

Now stop thinking your strange little theories and learn the truth!

QFT.

Still a very nice find, though.  I was watching the Revolutions Revisited DVD this weekend and they had a nice segment on the Hel Club extras.  So many people wearing the coolest gear, but I don't remember seeing anyone resembling the person in that picture.  I might have to re-watch it.

Yes, the Assassin was still a Machine when "Revolutions" ended, and got his fly RSI from the Merovingian afterwards.

Nice catch!

If it wouldn't look that leather'ish with all the stripes, it could be true.
#10400147253 07/05/2006 08:44:00 Re: Assassin in Revolutions?
Nah, the Assassin wasn't the barge at the end of Revolutions. He got in trouble with the Machines because he wanted to recycle Trinity's body when they had other plans for it. His purpose was to recycle.

We all know that Neo's body hasn't been recycled, so whichever program was in that barge wasn't the Assassin, 'cos if they didn't let him near Trinity they wouldn't let him near Neo.
