We speak a lot about the Drama. But what is the Why?

I believe the lack of a purpose, objectives and common enemies, we descended
into a world where we create our own nemesis: the players around us. There are no other means for us
to channel this need of aggressivity and violence, purpose and
achievement than this direct challenge on community members.

Mxo reminds me of Big Brother on telly. A bunch of people isolated in a
house with not much to do but face each others. It all start good and
fun but the boredom turns them against each other, making it delightful
for viewers and ratings. But mxo doesnt want to see anger and grief, evictions and members leaving week after week til the show is over! something needs
to be done.

Content. Or the lack of.

Back
then, with the LET, events brought us frequent and charismatic enemies
to hunt or protect for many weeks. Now it's gone, why would players
bother to chase a character they don't even know? Or someone they know
will be gone in an hour and will never see again?

 I'd prefer
10times to see Gray log on sporadically during the day, chat and fight.
To see him go from hardline to hardline, pissing people off (positively) and
taking the frustration of mervs and zionites.

People care less about the storyline,
they just want a good time, not frustration chasing some dodgy
character! 15mn here and there throughout the day is best than one
laggy, uninteresting chase or spawn of x npcs with cool names. people
play this game so they can interact with known characters.
Especially, the new player trying the game for a couple of weeks want
to see those, that's why they play the Matrix. The LESIG cannot compensate for such thing.

I know it is impossible for Rarebit to continue the storyline and at
the same time fill these gaps when he is really a dev..*sigh* I would
yell at SOE for stealing mxo devs and not doing what is needed. I would ask Paul to adapt the story, involving less characters because
of the lack of staff to play them. Heck he could even help with the
events in game, I am sure he would do a great job!

The community.

It is up to us to realise that, right now, our adversaries are just players who want to be part of something rather
than being alienated for their identity. There are so many nice players around, we barely see them because they are chocked under the more vocal antisocial people. And on top of that, many
players are undermining others in their own organization! Words hurt
more than bullets. When one word can be ignored, hundreds cannot. Why
continue playing? People play MMO so they can interact with others, if
others can't accept them, they will leave.

I have seen too many friends and entire factions go to other games  and am
tired. I have a thousand strong buddy list and dont think 10% are still
active, many leaving because of a sour community. Players are being picked and harassed because of their org or
faction, because they are noobs, because of the way they rp or pvp, it has to stop.

Boredom, lack of interest and frustration is deteriorates our
community, we need to stop it from becoming a land of hostiles and few
strong enough to cope with them. I want to see people discuss how to tackle an LEC rather than planning the gank of some ppl or faction.
I know I rant a lot, I hope I can be constructive and point to problems and possible solutions because I care for this game.

Peace!
