When The Matrix Online launches on March 22 (March 19 for preorders), players will have a choice between normal and hostile worlds. The difference between these worlds is how Organization versus Organization (OvO) combat will be handled.
Normal
When the Truce fails on these worlds, individuals and groups aligned with an Organization may choose to take action against members of opposing Organizations. Players will be able to use an Opt-in system to participate in OvO combat.
Hostile
When the Truce fails on these worlds, the streets of MegaCity erupt in all-out war. Players can use an Opt-in system to participate in OvO combat up through level 15. At level 16 and above, characters are always set for OvO combat.
When the Truce fails is based upon the storyline progression on the worlds. But when the Truce collapses under the tension, there is no going back.
Dont you see? PvP was never intended to be happening just randomly in the streets, only under no truce. Think about it, have pvp in archives only, where it was first intended, that solves so many problems, not only for vecotr but for everywhere.
No more having to be lv50 to stand a chance at pvp as the archives have level restrictions.
No more ganking as theres safe bases in the archives
No more nubs destroying Mara C
Its more matrixy as theres no random wars breaking out the streets that makes NO sense storyline wise.
And probably most important of all, Archives are made useful and visited.
I seriously have no idea why this system never went ahead in the first place and its probably too late to change it now but for the love of all that is good it would be so great...
