Is anyone feeling that gangmembers carrying codefrags/bits is a bit unmatrixy? If so, read this:
I'm proposing that coders would have tools with which you can extract
codebits from the matrix itself, from trees, from benches, from gangs
and so on. Different areas and items would give different
codebits/frags, and the stream would be quite slow. It would work kinda
like Data miner, but you get codebits. Maybe you get them in chunks of
5 (codebits) or 1-3 (frags), and occasionally a red code fragment.
Extracting code from sims/gangs would make them weaker, but they could
attack you anytime. And if you kill them, you could extract code from
the in peace.
If you extract on one place too long, maybe agents would come because
you are disturbing the matrix, but the amount you extract would not
make a big difference to the matrix stability.
Why should coders need to search for a long time for codefrags when they are there right infront of their noses?
