With a little luck, they will be difficulty 20 so I will have a use for my dif-20-only Interfaces... SMILEY

what the heck is a Activity Facilitator?
#10400017436 09/14/2005 06:32:05 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
From Data Node One:

  • Activity Facilitator Consumables
    Activity
Facilitator 1.0 and 2.0 are now available in game. These new consumable
items can be activated at any time (even while stunned or pacified) and
will clear all stun and pacify states. However, your immunity timer
will be reduced by 1/2 at the time of activation.
    • Activity Facilitator 1.0 has a 15-minute cooldown timer.
    • Activity Facilitator 2.0 has a 10-minute cooldown timer.
    • Both consumables share a 10 minute family cool down timer.

They are the "OH GOD I GOT STUNNED DON'T LET ME DIE THIS WAY" Pill.

"Not this way...."

Would be nice if they are infact able to be decompiled.

#10400017441 09/14/2005 06:36:37 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
My concern is can you take them WHEN your stunned or do you have to take them before hand.

'These new consumable items can be activated at any time (even while stunned or pacified) and will clear all stun and pacify states.'
#10400017444 09/14/2005 06:39:25 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
Looks like you can use them as soon as you get hit.

One more thing to squeeze onto my HotBar.

#10400017445 09/14/2005 06:39:36 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
I'm seeing this as more of an anti-gank pill than something to be used in PvP.

Not
sure that was a good idea, I mean if you are stunned (unable to move)
how do you take the people in the first place? Though I am glad that
there is something to clear the stunned status, just think it should
have been more preventive versus being a cure.
#10400017449 09/14/2005 06:46:23 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
But then they do have 10 and 15 min retimers, so my guess is that you use it and clear your stun, be immune to stun for maybe a minute and then you just get stunned again so they probably won't help much to be honest.
#10400017455 09/14/2005 06:57:13 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
As I said, more anti-gank than for PvP.

I wanna know if we will see NPC's usnig them SMILEY
#10400017460 09/14/2005 07:08:11 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
Looks to be designed to 'get you out of trouble' rather than 'buff your effectiveness in pvp' which on reflection is a very sensible approach to take with, what is essentially, a stop gap till the real fix is finally implemented.
#10400017500 09/14/2005 08:20 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
Like I said, it is the "Not This Way" pill.  I can see it working
in the short term, though.  It all depends on whether it shakes
out to be a one-time sweep of negative effects or if it has a short
time invulnverability like rolling out of Interlock does now.

Thanks to the big re-use timer, it is a perfect match for the Awakened Sunglasse/Jackets with THEIR re-use timers.

And yes, hearing the word 'temporary fix' freaks me out.  Nigh on
20 years of Software QA experience will do that to a person!

#10400017558 09/14/2005 10:36 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
According to the Dev Notes, there will be a new item that allows a
constant Sixth Sense scan that not only pulls people out of sneak, but
drops their Evade Shield and roots them.  It is part of the
balancing they are doing to bring the Spy into line.  They felt it
was too powerful.

KIDDING!

#10400017595 09/14/2005 12:43 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
So has anyone decomped one yet?  I am sadly stuck at work for at least another hour...

#10400017695 09/14/2005 20:49 Re: Are Activity Facilitator user-codeable?
I see your point...

This comes from being stuck at work rather than playing.  I feel so cut off... SMILEY

#10400085519 03/04/2006 14:20 MXO of course ruins these as they do alot of other cool things
Oh, great that was fun, ran out of the pills a few weeks back and was too lazy to go buy some and when I do someone yelps they don't work anymore, and I like go no they work fine. Well they used. As you know everytime you pvp there is a hacker and their favourite thing is to bottleneck. When pvp gets strong there are more hackers and more bottlenecks. First off I hate that a new bottleneck can overlap another one so there is no chance to ever get away. Second off SONY YOU CREATED THE ACTIVITY FACILTATOR to rid us of of this issue and now you ruin it on us again by adding a timer? Man I stand their bottle necked and figure oh use a pill like before and so I do, then before i get a chance, wow another bottleneck, **bleep** I am stuck again I will just use another... oh no wait they put a timer on it. What the heck is this? Now I am stuck again and the pill is useless. That guy was right you made something useful in the game, expensive but very useful since we all hate bottlenecks, become useless. You took our only escape away, completely making the pill useless as if it did not exist. Why are we are back to the way it was before? If a hacker comes in and bottle necks all the MA's, we become easy pickings. So thumbs down for ruining something that made sense to begin with. A 10 minutes timer is a joke for any pvp that goes back into pvp and gets bottleneck again he is finished before he can even start. Now everyone gonna run away for 10 minutes till they can come back in to pvp and use a pill to not get bottlenecked. How is this progressive? I say change it back to the way it was or take them away, and don't pretend to offer us something good that is completely a waste now. I doubt they will listen to this request so word of advice don't waste your money anymore. As they ruined hacker in CR2.0, bottlenecks probable won't work so I guess we just got to wait another month before that happens and we can eliminate any hacker from pvp since they just a useless supporting class now.
