This has been mentioned a couple of times, and I think it's just a good
post to bring up here in the general community becuase it pertains to
all of us, and it's fond to look back on what we as the MxO players
have gone through since the launch of the game.  I'll try to get
screenshots in here, and if anyone can also contribute their own
screens or experiences I have left out, then that would be great!
I know the LET did alot of personalized stuff before SoE came over, so
I'd like to hear some of the other things they did.

And with that said, let's begin:

Prelude - Chapter 0 - Eyepocalypse (BETA Closing Event)

The Matrix went into overdrive as the system crashed during the
transition from Version 6 to Version 7.  Morpheus lead troops into
battle, The Merovingian left his followers and spread a wicked virus as
he left, legions of Agents appeared everywhere, taking down all that
they could and using a version of the Smith virus to corrupt redpills
to do their deeds.  And all the while, billboards changed through
out the Matrix, telling the awakened to "Jack out now, or discomfort
will be extreme", and eyes in the sky above kept watch on those who
went out of line (which was practically everyone).  Certain famous
redpill leaders were killed almost instantly, and those who did survive
the onslaught of the Fire Virus were eventually decompiled into small
flesh blobs and disconnected.

The Matrix has restarted.

Chapter 1.1 - The Race to Find the One

The Matrix's version 7 opened with a bang.  The newly awakened,
still dealing with the problems of the truce between the Zionists and
Machines, while the Merovingians waited silently in the corner, were
balancing alot on their plate.  But a new sinister threat
arose.  The corrupt Red Eye Agents, programs who called themselves
agents but were 10 times weaker, began to multiply throughout the
system, leeching off of the code.

Upon destroying the Red Eyes that appeared, red pills were greeted with
green code fragments... Neo's RSI code!  Embedded in these were
his final thoughts during the great battle with Smith, and these were
the key to rebuilding the RSI that changed the Matrix.

Organizational leaders proclaimed that all must turn these fragments
into them, and so it was done.  Special collectors were set up and
were willing to take both PDAs from the Red Eyes and Code Fragments
from Neo and deposit them to the organization.  Whoever could
collect the most would win a prize greater than that of any other...
Neo himself.

(Standings by Frag Collection amongst all Servers: Zion 1st, Merovingian 2nd, Machines 3rd)

Morpheus made speeches during the collecting, and during one fantastic
speech, he brandished an unfinished version of Neo's RSI to show Zion's
"victorious" accomplishments.  Not to be out done, Flood of the
Merovingian also called a meeting for their operatives.  And
during that meeting, he too brandished a very similar version of Neo's
incomplete RSI.

It was after the collection was complete when the leaders announced
something else.  They needed programs to reassemble the RSI, and
the only programs with that power were called "Shapers".  It was
necessary for the Organizations to pull certain Shapers out of the
Matrix and send them to the source so they could recompile the RSI.

As organizational leaders found and located Shapers, it was necessary
for redpill operatives to track down the shaper on foot (they were
usually located at a monument in the Mega City) and shake hands with
them to gain their trust.  Once that was done, the Shaper would
request to be taken to a nearby Subway, because subways were the way
for the Shaper to reach the source.  The shaper would follow
whomever shook their hand, and would then pledge allegiance to the
Organization that helped them.

Of course, all rules of truce were off.  After shaking the hand of
the shaper, the leading operative became hostile automatically, even in
non-hostile areas. (If you shook the hand of a shaper, your PvP flag
went on, even if you weren't on a hostile server.) This problem put
many operative's lives on the line as they attempted to lead the shaper
to a subway, and it became almost impossble to do this safely without
having 500 other redpills swarm after you, trying to either protect you
for the organization, or kill you for their own gain.

(Serverwide Standings of the Shaper Run: Merovingian 1st, Machines 2nd, Zion 3rd)

7 of the 8 Shapers were secured, but a transmission from the Oracle to
all redpills stated something was wrong.  The 8th Shaper had been
secured, but by none of the Organizations.  The Red Eyes had him.

Using his powers, the Red Eyes each had a piece of Neo infused into
their RSIs, creating even more powerful N30 Agents, who radiated a dark
purple aura.  These agents swarmed hardlines, killing any redpill
in sight.  But everyone banded together and fought back... the
Oracle was right, it was time to work together.

Sharing resources, Zion, Machines, and the Merovingian targeted the
source of the threat: the 6 numbered "super red eye agents", Agents 1,
2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.  If they could be destroyed, the Machines could
perform a system anti-virus scan on the Matrix, removing all of the
other weaker N30 Agents.  Each Organization claimed 2 agents for
themselves, and together they put out an all out attack at each of the
Monuments, destroying these super agents quickly and effectively.

The anti-virus program ran, and the N30 Agents ceased to multiply.
Balance was restored in the Matrix once again.  But as for Neo's
RSI... it was still unfinished.

Chapter 1.2 - Nightfall

Chaos had been caused from the Red Eye agents, and not even the small
pocket of protection that was Blackwood Prison was unaffected.
Blackwood Prison, a holding of the Merovingian's where he tortured and
held any program that went against his reign and is said that no living
human can reach or see, is a horrible place in a small construct of a
forest where it is eternally night.  But the problems in the
Matrix also shook this construct, and it didn't shake it in the right
way.

Two of the worst programs imaginable, Vampire Lord Malphas and Pack
Leader Ookami, were released from their holdings.  Quickly
mounting an escape, they freed other vampires and lupines from their
cells, each pledging allegiance to the two... except for one.

Invalesco, brother of Vampire Captain Feronus, was left sitting his his
cell, pissed off beyond comprehension.  Not even his own brother
let him out, because he was a loose cannon when it came to
orders.  But finally, Invalesco's moment came.  Malphas
approached him and offered a choice.  Rot in Blackwood, or follow
him and not to try anything funny.  Invalesco chose the latter.

-------

The Merovingian wasn't stupid.  He saw what had happened at
Blackwood and he was beyond furious.  Ordering his operatives to
kill on sight, a small war between exiles began.

-------

Malphas and Ookami were hunted down, and their lives threatened.
In a last ditch attempt, they hid themselves in a construct of their
own making, out of the reach of the Matrix.  Staying their, they
ordered their captains to spread word that the Merovingian had captured
them.  This was turning out to be better than they had planned...

The Vampires and Lupines went nuts.  They couldn't believe that
the Merovingian had struck against them by "capturing" their
leaders.  Many of them began an assault against the redpills,
hopefully attempting to turn the tide to find their leaders before it
was too late for them.  Hardlines were once again the target of
choice as lupines and vampires spilled blood on the streets of the Mega
City as night began to fall on the Matrix.

-------

Invalesco didn't like his assignment.  He didn't like it one
bit.  Communicate with the humans and find out if they would side
with Malphas?  HA!  He wasn't doing that.  He had a
better plan... perhaps the humans would listen to him.

Invalesco called a meeting of redpills in Mannsen Park, and many
attended.  It was then when he made his offer, that if we, the
redpills of the Matrix, would join with him and fight against Ookami
and Malphas then he would give us power over the Matrix.  He
promised that he could make night fall eternally on the city, and make
those who trusted in him his greatest leaders.

-------

Word spread quickly to Malphas and Ookami.  The two were now even
more furious than usual.  The plans were quickly changed, and
instead of targeting the Merovingian, they targeted Invalesco's
uprising.  They came out of hiding, proclaiming where they were,
and asked politely through Feronus if Zion and the Machines and those
who truly loved the Merovingian to destroy Invalesco before he
destroyed everyone else.

During his fateful meeting with his redpill captains, and just as he
was about to cast the spell that would turn redpills into vampire
programs, Feronus burst in and blocked the execution of the
command.  A fight ensued, and Invalesco fled into the night with
Feronus's blood on his hands.

Malphas ordered a swift execution of Invalesco, and traced his hiding
place.  Using contacts throughout the Matrix, redpills were able
to trace the route of information to Invalesco, and drive a stake into
his heart.  But while there were problems with Invalesco, Flood
and a group of exile programs got Malphas and Ookami from behind and
unaware.  Captured, they were taken to the Merovingian, who
deleted the rogue vampires and lupines without remorse, tortured
Malphas and Ookami, and eventually made them swear to him and only to
him, or face even worse concequences.  Invalesco's followers were
quickly oppressed, some even being thrown out of their factions into an
organization-less exile.

Malphas and Ookami were now the newest Merovingian captains, working
along side Flood.  But how long will this last before they try to
assassinate him again?

Chapter 1.3 - The Hunt for Morpheus The Assassin

Morpheus was still trying to work out how to get the remains of Neo
back to Zion.  He was literally obsessed with finding his
body.  Why?  Not only were they something he wanted to
respect, but it was rumored that if Morpheus could get his hands on
Neo's jack socket from the back of his head, he could fuse the final
data from that socket with the RSI code of Neo that he possessed.
He could recreate a digital version of Neo, breathing life into him
once again.

His reign of terror began.

The once noble Morpheus stooped to a new type of bomb that he
developed, the Code Bomb.  Completely harmless, the only thing the
Code Bomb did was reveal the Matrix code from what it was.   Not a
world of stone and concerete and metal, but a world of digital
streaming green code. And any redpill infected with the bomb's coding
also would appear as streaming green code, but not to other
redpills.  He wasn't targeting redpills.  He was targeting
the Bluepills.

Morpheus was trying to attempt a mass awakening of people to the
reality of the Matrix.  Violently disregarding the truce in an
attempt to pressure the machines to give back Neo's body.

Zion was now split into two regimes.  Morphites, those who
supported Morpheus and his decisions, and Lockites, those who supported
Commander Jason Lock's opinion, as well as the upholding of the
truce.  Morphites spread posters about the Matrix, proclaiming the
sanctity of The One, as well as defending bombs placed about the Matrix
by Morpheus.  Lockites, assisted by Machines and Merovingians,
ripped down the posters and found materials that aided in diffusing the
talking bombs wherever they were set up.  It took 5 manual pages
to diffuse the bomb, and redpills organized themselves in diffusal
groups, each having at least one of the pages to perform one stage of
the diffusal as bullets rained down from the Morphites.

And, at the peak of his bombings, it all ended with 6 bullets to the
chest.  The porcelain faced Assassin, the one who had been
ruthlessly killing redpills in Sobra Shores and Gracy Heights,
dramatically killed Morpheus at a sewage waste facility by defying the
laws of the Matrix and moving through an impossibly small ventilation
duct to get a shot at him.

Morpheus had been killed.

Even though the leader had fallen, his RSI remained for some
reason.  The Machines moved his RSI to a church, where redpills
and Organization leaders came to pay their respects.  But in a
sick and twisted form of events, the body of Morpheus re-coded itself
into flies to the horror of those redpills in attendance!  The
flies got everywhere, and swarmed around redpills, into their mouths
and eyes and totally hampering all of their skills.  The fly virus
was born, and the time of the Corrupted was now at hand.

Continuing his murderous run, the Assassin appeared again, and this
time it was at a meeting of Machinists with the Agent leader, Agent
Skinner.  The assassin shot and killed Skinner, who was deleted in
a very large fashion.  Agent Gray was promoted to lead Agent, and
the Machines became furious at this exiled program.

The Fly Virus infected every possible of the Matrix imaginable.
To show the extreme decay of the code, the Monuments, once proud and
pristine, began to decay into a tarnished brown and green state and
looked impossibly disgusting.  And bluepills infected with the fly
virus began to turn into walking swarms of flies that only spread the
virus, only reverting to normal once killed by a red pill.

Quickly, the Machines coded a replacement for Agent Skinner.  It
was through requests from Machinists that the new liaison between human
and machines was born... the first female agent, Agent Pace.
Agent Pace, while trying unsuccessfully to be more human than the other
agents, lead the redpills of all organizations into combat, helping out
by spreading a newly coded insecticide that had the power to destroy
the fly virus.

The virus, sensing doom, collected itself into a gigantic
monster!  The super corrupted began to tear down anything in it's
path, destroying and corrupting whatever it could, and spawning more
smaller corrupted in its wake.  With the help of Agent Pace, the
redpills made a full on assult against the beast, and it fell from the
overuse of insecticide... the fly virus was removed, but the Assassin
escaped...

...for now.

Wow.. my hands are tied. That comes out to be alot longer than you
think it's going to be!  I'll put Choice and Concequence and
Double Cross up later... right now my hands hurt and I need a break!

If anyone has anything to add, please do so!  Especially
screenshots!  Just try to add an approximate of when your small
story happened in relation to the events described above.  For
