buddy list - logging into aim doesn't work only 16 characters for screen name allowed ?

I'm trying to get my buddy list, but when I put [email protected] in the screen name field it won't accept it and gives me a popup saying 16 characters maximum. Anyone know what to do for this ?

Are you using the standard AOL Instant Messager client?

I can use [email protected] fine in it.

Using AIM I can add big names like that just fine. Hmm... are you using AIM, or something like Trillian?

you can only use it from the downloadable client. not the web AIM.

Yeah does not work with AIM Express.. only the stand alone client.

personally they should just let us keep these snz.

I'll give that I try, I was trying to use the web and a version I had with Netscape 7.1. I was trying to avoid installing any new software, always filled with add-ons and impossible to uninstall. Thanks for the help.
