What a week. Update 45 has beaten me to a pulp this week, along with getting ready for a trip to San Diego next week. How is it the work just seems to keep piling up just before I'm going to be out of the office? I blame Keith.

HA! HAHA!

#10300003951 07/14/2006 15:14:52 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006
You blamed Keith. You win.

#10300003952 07/14/2006 15:18:49 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006

Ick, the forums look like the usual Station websites. Droll.

And Walrus, you have a little something on your eyelash.

#10300003953 07/14/2006 15:19:31 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006
Haha, it's Keith's fault!

Nice looking glass, quite a good read.

And that forum image, do my eyes decieve me or have posts been migrated already? :p
(Like the look of them though, although I'd like more green like these nes and the original DN1 SMILEY)

Wonderful OSOTLG Walrus.

Everything looks good Walrus!

I'm still surprised you blamed Keith.  That totally made my day.  I hope Keith reads it.

PvP zones look great, new forums look great, I'd say this is a big month for improvement.

Yipee!

They migrated some of the data onto the QA site for testing. The actual migration won't happen until Tuesday morning.

PVP Zones FTW!
#10300003964 07/14/2006 16:44:02 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006
The forum style looks kind of like PHPBB.  Are the new forums going to be simular to PHPBB?  Or any other forums like VBulletin?
#10300003965 07/14/2006 16:44:49 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006
One question, What's with all the blue?  When you think of the Matrix, normally people think of green.  Yet SOE has turned the entire site blue.

What gives?
#10300003966 07/14/2006 17:05:44 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006

#10300003967 07/14/2006 17:18:48 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006
It would be nice to see some events that arent all the way in oregon. Oh well. Would be nice to have something happen down south. Wish I could make it. Good read btw. I get excited when I see these things come out now.

I blame Keith that I won't be able to check out the new content until later this week...
Yay for being in Montana.
Maybe the bugs will be fixed by then (hopefully).

I like the look of the new forums, but I think we need more green. :p

Yes, I agree. There's no real world in MXO, there for, it should be green. (Notice the blue tint in the real world and green tint in the Matrix, in the movies)

On the bright side; the tempoary PVP zone is friggin' awesome!
#10300003973 07/14/2006 20:45:55 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006
Nice OSOTLG! Now all we need is another Character Transfer...Oh wait...I think I'm the only one who wants that. Ah well, was worth a shot. :smileywink:

I guess they could make the argument that the site/forums are the real world. SMILEY

I see that forum descriptions are exactly the same as they are now... EXCEPT for the RSI forum, which has had all mention of signatures removed.

Are players no longer going to be allowed to have signatures on the new forums? Taking away features doesn't count as "functionality" to me SMILEY I'll definetely be on these new forums a lot less if there's no signature feature available SMILEY

*edit* On the other hand, why would there be a contest for TheJuryMen's sig, and all these character sig contests if we can't use sigs anymore? Or will signatures be restricted to the moderators and admins only...? *sigh* So why was the text removed...

I'd really doubt this would be the case, if anything it should be made easier to put things like sigs, quotes links etc onto here. I've been on faction forums with easier to use features than these :smileytongue:

See you inside,

Could have some fun with that new PvP toy...put it right outside the Uriah NE hardline...Noobs come in and BOOM! They're dead! Bring new meaning to the phrase, "Spawn Killing."

But in all seriousness, can't wait to see that in action. And the forums look nice, too.

Actually, if you look the movies the real world scenes always have blue light, the hovercraft and zion (except the cavern, may be). So it makes sense, since the forums are the "real world" part of The Matrix Online.

Sorry because of the noobish question but, who is Keith?
#10300003982 07/15/2006 11:46:04 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006

hahah I can't believe he used that .... old school player from Recursion (possibly cancelled or idk where he is) , there were countless threads about "I blame Keith!" once on the forums, and it just became our saying SMILEY

If u use cearch for "I blame Keith" u can still see what was the whole thing about  SMILEY
#10300003985 07/15/2006 12:47:47 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006

Hmm, I never really thought about the Forums as the real world part of the Matrix. But, that does make more sense.

In that case, YAY FOR BLUE!

#10300003986 07/15/2006 14:52:17 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006
Not only did you blame Keith (awesome), but you have showed us 'PvP zones'... Now that's very cool.

I'm thinking this is one of those clues we used to get... SMILEY

EDIT: By the way, those new forums look slick. Keep 'em that way.

#10300003995 07/17/2006 03:23:53 Re: The Other Side of the Looking Glass - Friday, July 14, 2006

hehehehehhe I'm zion running Machine archivals, some how they end up being run to me by Tyndal, therefor I'm gaining Zion rep and decreasing Machine and Merv Rep (not that they weren't already maxed and minimum reps..)

I gotta hand it to ya Walrus this is a good update, only 1 bug encountered my Faction The Anomalies on Recursion...

Some how it disbanded us overnight 15th onto 16th July we lost all crews and 88mil which was in the faction bank, which I wanted to use to celebrate our 1 year anniversary in August....

Lucky me the archivals pay out good, but still lost 88mil... and I managed to put the faction together for about 80%

But Again good job Walrus, would you please contact me... I wanna discuss somethings I'm always on Recursion as either Wrecker3D, TmX or BlackAnomaly, I wanna discuss some stuff about the party I wanna have... And please, if I'm talking to the wrong one divert my requests to the right department
